On The Road Again with Perfect Aim....

Lessons pay the bills son.... Don't make him come give you the "lesson" you're looking for, its going to cost you more than $200.

Bobby has not seen the high gear gene has
But I have bobby can't win
But the good thing is if gene plays me with the 9 ball bobby can get some money back

IMO Gene is not the last of the road players, he is the last of a dieing breed of the traveling salesmen pitching perfect aim. Johnnyt

Hold on to your pants...........

Lets play 10 ahead like Hank said on Big and Bar. Quit talking and start chalking ya NIIIIIIIIIIIIIT!

We're friends there Bobby but it doesn't take much to ruffle your feathers.

Hanks ready and I will be too when i am back there.

Got business over here on the east coast and i know you will keep.

In the meantime make lots of money.

Looking forward to playing this match. Should be fun.

I might not even need Hank when I get back there. the bankroll is pretty strong, but he's a good guy and I'd like to share the action with him.

Hanks a fun guy and a good friend.

We've had a lot of fun and I consider you a good friend also.

Looking forward to a drag down, beat down match with a great competitor.

No woofing in this one.

The winner of this one will be the one that shows up with their A game.

One man a van and the road...........

Absolutely. I'd rather lose my money to people I LIKE than people I DO NOT LIKE. That's a FACT JACK!

Hope you make lots in lessons! I hope you beat everybody you play except for me of course!!!!!!

Researcher: The average radio listener listens for eighteen minutes a day. The average Howard Stern fan listens for - are you ready for this? - an hour and twenty minutes.

Pig Vomit: How could this be?

Researcher: Answer most commonly given: "I want to see what he'll say next."

Pig Vomit: All right, fine. But what about the people who hate Stern?

Researcher: Good point. The average Stern hater listens for two and a half hours a day.

Pig Vomit: But... if they hate him, why do they listen?

Researcher: Most common answer: "I want to see what he'll say next."

Keep up the posts Gene.

Had a very special mini lesson tonight.......

She is legally blind.

She came over and asked me if I could help her. I confidently told her i could. She can see good enough to walk around and actually play pool and you wouldn't know but the players in the league all know how bad her vision is..

As I was showing her how to get the eyes in the right position a small crowd gathered behind her. It turns out she is left eye dominant. Once we got the eyes in the right position even she was shooting the ball in consistently and with confidence.

It was only a straight in shot but it was long and she shot it in about 7 times in a row.

After about the 5th time the small crowd in back of her gave her a standing ovation.

it's moments like this that make this so rewarding to do.

I'm going to give her a full lesson Tuesday and hopefully videotape parts of it and put it on the thread.

You'ld have to see it to believe it.

Well this is a nice story.

I know what some of us find so simple to do, others have to work very hard to do what we can and they still may never get there.

A lot of us forget that.

I think 1on1pooltournys (Bobby) and geno(Gene Albrecht) are holding out for a fight night match by www.poolactiontv.com.

Just curious if there is interest in a match of this sort for PPV?

It sounds like the two of them are more closely matched than the Bartram/Albrecht match.

Don't think Gene claims to be a world beater. He seems to make most his money off lessons. His Perfect Aim system is criticized. He isn't independently rich and is criticized for not playing for big bucks. He gives us an account of his match ups and outcome. He gives accounts of Rheas match ups and outcome. Guess if there was a running account of Genes, Rheas and Perfect Aim lessons we might see the bigger picture. Wouldn't it be better to find two lower/mid level players that are evenly matched. Then have Gene give one a Perfect Aim lesson. Have them play and see if there was any improvement. Whether Gene wins or losses against another player won't settle anything. Perfect Aim doesn't mean you will never miss. It like many other systems are about improving your game. Isn't that one of the arguments here.

Still got the girl............

Not trying to stir it or anything, but what happened to " one man a van and a girl ? Lately it's been "one man and a van".

Went through a few transitions.

She gave me control of everything out here like it should of been. We went through a period of mistakes she was making that were costing us money.

She was trying to do things on the road her way but finally realized that it was a train wreck waiting to happen. I can handle a mistake here and there but not continual denial that they were even mistakes and doing the same thing over and over.

Giving up control instead of trying to be in control is a huge step for her with learning how to live on the road.

One man a van the road and i still got the girl.....and she's learning finally...........

It seems to me that Gene is criticized because he teaches the riff-raff: He makes D players into C; and C players into B. But according to some AZBers, an instructor is nothing if he can't turn an A player into a Pro or win the US Open himself.

Can Gene make an A player into an Open/Pro? Probably not. At that level the lessons are mental...taught in the school-of-hard-knocks, not in a structured lesson.

Of course, there's another entire group of AZBers who detest anyone who makes money from pool outside of gambling and tournaments. They missed out on life's lessons and there little anyone can do for them.

I would never embarrass myself by playing on the internet in front of a paying audience. It would be like if I stood in line at the movie theater and got tickets and went inside and stared at a blank screen for the duration with no motion picture. Just not right!

Having seizures in my sleep....

Somedays I just don't have energy at all ever since I had the accident. I sleep 10 hours and still feel tred.

Rhea told me about 3 days ago that I was shaking when she woke up in fact i woke her up. the beds we are sleeping on in this morel sweak real bad when you move.

I thought maybe she saw me turn over and just thought that was it.

Wrong.

Last night I couldn't sleep well and finally woke up a 4:00 after sleeping about 11 hours.
Rhea was at the computer and told me I was having a seizure for sure. My head was bouncing on the pillow and my whole body was flailing around. This woke her up.

I continued to sleep and had another one about an hour later. Just like the last one.

She looked it up on the internet under nocturnal seizure. One of the reasons for this could have been the car accident back in May when I got the concussion.

This explains the trouble I have had since then.

Today I couldn't even play pool. I went to the ER and they wanted to do another cat scan. i declined and will try to see a nurolegist tomorrow if I can. he said it usually takes about 2 weeks to get in and see one of the guys he recommended. Good Luck with that.

might have to take a few weeks off and find out what is going on and try to figure out how to make it better.

Just what i needed.

Good news is I'm still going but really wore out.

One man a van and the road..............

Sorry to hear about your troubles Gene. Don't take seizures lightly, get that looked at.
Waiting to see the neurologist beats ignoring it and waking up
unable to move half your body or worse.

Ok, my bad. I should have inquired with both of you before I dangled that double-edged sword in front of you on the forum and I contacted neither of you.

Ugggg,
