I Would Love To Have A Onepocket And 9 Ball Tournament In Dallas Tx. That Would Have Only Past Champions Playing .namely These Players Buddy Hall, Larry Hubbard, Jim Rempe, Keith McCready, Jim Mataya,wade Crane,grady Mathews,allen Hopkins,nick Varner,danny DELIBERTO,ronnie Allen,cecil Tugwell,cole Dickson,ed Kelley,jim Marino,don Mccoy,and Myself. I Will Personally Give The Winner Of Each Division $5,000.it Will Only Take 4 Days To Run The Tournament,2 Days For Onepocket,2 Days For 9 Ball. Format Single Elimination One Hole Race To 4. 9 Ball Race To 9. Just For Old Time Sakes. And Then Maybe We Could Do A Little Gambling Too.if I Could Get 8 Players To Commit I Would Love To Host It.and If I Have Forgotten Anyone From That Era There Welcome Too.

I will also give all the players that are willing to play $100 cash on arrival . NO ENTRY FEE.

Please, if this does come off, please try to get Pat to film the matches. The old Accu-stats did so many more tournaments than they do now. Turning Stone was perhaps a sign of good things to come in them doing other tournaments.

Debbie, Jimmy Reid hasn't been feeling well in recent times. He's a U.S. Open champion and gets free entry fee, but he hasn't made it to the last two U.S. Opens. He's still living in Tennessee and can be contacted through his website: http://freepoollessons.com

Jimmy Reid is always a welcome site at any tournament I have been to. He always makes me laugh, and I miss seeing him.

Jimmy Fusco has come out to compete in recent times, though I think he hangs close to Philly. It was great to see him at the IPT events, along with Pete Fusco, too. :)

Sounds GREAT, Billy. Logistics can sometimes be difficult when planning tournaments, trying to make sure the dates do not cross with another event.

Seeing Jimmy Mataya in the pit would be a hoot! If you are able to get this baby to fruition, it will be a tournament for the record books. What a cast of players! :)

You can scratch Cecil Tugwell off your list. I don't think he has left LA in twenty years and from what I last saw (in the last year) he appears to be homeless. He most definately is no where near the player he was 25-35 years ago (Probably the 6 ball or more under his previous speed).

This tournament would be well worth the 3 hour drive west on I-20 to Dallas.

Best of luck getting this tournament set up and please don't forget to have plenty of room for the railbirds.

Looks like an "in-the-money" list from one of the old Stardust tournaments; what a great lineup and great idea. I would only like to add Mr. Ray Martin to the list - he was still hitting em pretty good the last time I saw him a couple of years ago.

You know I'll be there to help you. Any time you call me I'm coming! I thought about Jimmy Fusco too. Good to see Grady on there. Can we invite our buddy Harry? Thanks, I knew you'd say yes. :) And Fatboy Too. He'll come I'm sure if his schedule allows. Oh, and Mark Griffin and Greg Sullivan also. The party's getting bigger!

Maybe over New Years holiday, right before Derby City. I wouldn't mind celebrating New Year's in Dallas. Or if not then, later in January or February.

Taping these matches would be great! That's a good idea!
