One more time, how would you play this? 14.1

7 - 8 - 9 - 11 - 15. Just seemed the most natural, hardest to screw up. Plus, its all draw/follow center, (lol until I get out of line).

I also like the fact that you have a large margin of error on the 15. Either side is ok, as is straight in.

Also, it minimizes cueball travelling between the balls. Just my opinion.

Wonder what harriman, schmidt, or blackjack, or lipsky would do here?

This time I had a buddy of mine who is a better player shoot the layout, and nobody so far is even close. Hint: First ball is the 7 and when this guy has a ball uptable on the rail on the same side as his break ball he likes to save it for his key ball.

I'll post the video later but for now I'm going downstairs to try to run 3 balls.

Edit: BTW - 7, 8, 9, 11, 15 but I am left handed. Then try to get the CB back to exactly where it is now, or an inch or two closer to the side rail.

Most righties would prefer the 8 as the break ball.

I'm guessing your friend might have done this -

7 corner - follow slightly for the 9.

Shoot the 9 and get on the 11.

Pocket the 11, come off the rail for a shot on the 15. Need to keep an angle on the 1...

Pocket the one, coming to the side rail to get parallel on the 8.

Not the way I would do it. I like Papa Red's sequence best.

I like Stop shot patterns, or having my cue ball fall in position for more than one shot. Many players get into trouble in 14.1 by setting up for only 1 ball at a time.

As far as this nonsense about right handed VS left handed - I made this video a while back and it explains my views on that crap.

7 in the corner with a little draw. 1 in the corner, stop shot. 15 all the way down with follow for the 11 in the corner. Follow on the 11 to get a small angle on the 9. 8 is the break ball
