One Pocket is so slow....

Groc been playing Grog 1-P for best of cavemen in African jungle.

Groc done with his inning, but Grog no can shoot at his pocket as it migrated to New York due to continental drift.



Too slow? oh well.

Chess is played on the clock. Each player is alloted the same amount of time for the entire game. When you're done with your move, you press the button and your opponent's clock starts running. He completes his move, presses the button and your clock starts running.

The first ten moves are usually lightning fast! like 10 seconds for 10 moves (5 by each player).
 
after reading the first 3 post i gave up. lol But one pocket is only slow if 2 dopes are playing , and if your watching 2 good players although it may be slow untill all the moveing is done. when its go time the game speeds up fast and its run out time.

Actually it's often much faster if two dopes are playing.....with good players each game can take a long time.

We are just playing anyway....one pocket is actually a fast paced game in the sense that it's a constant series of punch-counter punch where both players are shooting. Just that concluding a single game can take a while.

One pocket is slow that matches are carbon dated.

It is thought that Newton was also not a fan of 1P. He was noted as saying, in regards to a particularly slow game, "Objects at rest tend to stay at rest."

1-pocket is so slow, there was recently a 3 week 1-pocket tournament during March Madness that took 5 weeks. True story. :)

This thread never gets old!! My wife and I were laughing our asses off! This is one of my favs. At SBE the lesser known players didn't do the game any favors.
I liked seeing some of the well known pros play here and there.
Is the final over yet?????? lol
 
OK, with the Scott / Alex match going into its fourth day, who has some witty stuff to say about it?

Sorry chefjeff, but IMO One pocket isn't a slow game at all!

I couldn't post earlier, because right now I'm playing an important 1P match. I just made my first shot at 8:32 PM (01-06-2010) and I missed it.
Wait what I wanted to say...? Oh noooooo, I have to go back to the table, it's already my turn again... 8:33PM (06-30-2015)
