It is with great sadness that I bring you this news.
Jackie was a friend to many here over the years
She was also with me on my journey with my wife. Offering support and advice prior to and after her passing.

I last talked to Jackson on June 23. She had just reached 5 years cancer free. All her tests came back negative.
She was quite happy about her victory over the disease.

On July 18th Trigger reached out to me to let me know Jackie had been hospitalized as was on a breathing machine.
She had been diagnosed with myasthenia gravis. An auto immune disease that effects neural communication.
Last night Trigger reached out to give me an update. Shortly after that. Just before midnight Jackie passed.
As of yet. I dont have any details as of yet on what happened.

She was a good friend. We had a lot of fun on AZB for many years. The "Which one Exactly?" thread was epic.
She was witty and had a great sense of humor. And she could argue with the best of us.
She once tracked me down years ago when I was putting a 3rd story on a house in Pennsylvania. It was quite the funny episode. And the only time we actually me face to face.

I know she is survived by at least one brother who is going through his own challenges.
Please send your thoughts and prayers for Jackie and her family.

I will miss her dearly.

RIP my friend.

A loss I feel. Jackie was one of those people who I didn't stay in close contact with but we seemed able to pick up our friendship at any time like we had just talked the day before. I will miss her.

A lady that would appreciate the Irish send off: "May you be in heaven three days before the devil knows you are dead!"

You will be missed.

I’m missing her a lot. I told her about my kid sister, who’s been cancer free for about 18 years…but I cross my fingers for her every day..
I told Jackson I was doing the same thing for her.
God rest you.

sorry for the loss

this is a world forum so it would be great to tell where she was from and where she played. this way it is easier to remember the person and their life and accomplishments.

I sadly don't think I've seen or read a post of Jackie's , but as a cancer survivor I've been told that I'd make it indefinitely after 5 years which will be December 26 , 2022

I hope and pray for anyone who has gone through this God awful disease and survived without further complications of any sort which I'm enough of a realist to know is a rare thing .
When I've been asked to what do I owe my survival to my response is simple , I'm one ornery bugger that loves to pick on or tease people to make them smile !
So far in my 62 years I've pestered hundreds if not thousands of people with millions left to go !!!!! Ha ha
In closing I hope for strength as well as comfort for Jackie's friends and family during this difficult time . And if possible when you look back thinking about her do so with a smile I feel in my heart of hearts she'd even want you to ha ha !

The version I heard was 30 minutes but I like your version better. 3 days gives a guy time to maybe stop and hit some balls on the way. 30 minutes is cutting it kind of close.

The actual expression has Irish roots and there’s been slight variations
down through the decades using half hour, full half hour and thirty minutes.

If you’ve seen Peaky Blinders, you know Thomas Shelby is an authentically Irish character.
The expression embodies heartfelt felt wishes toward one’s loss of a loved one or dear friend.

I was banned when Jackie passed and couldn't post my farewell to her...she was an absolute gem...As I type tears are swelled up in my eyes...but when I think of our conversations and the joy that she was, a smile again appears. Never met her in person, but she was from NY and I'd tell her that I'm sure in our former lives we had met and had a ball..She'd laugh and agree. Miss her a lot. RIP.

I met her once.
I was working a job in PA.
She showed up on the job site and terrorized the crew.
It was quite funny.
We were trying to find a way for Her, Dawgie and I to get together. Unfortunately it never bore fruit.
