Parica beat Svb for the 2nd time

I agree except for the last part. I didnt see the match but heard it was like 11-8. If true that isnt a whoopin that is one mistake from being the otherway around.

I think people forget that for awhile there Parica was "THE MAN" in money games. He was a monster and depending on who you talk to for a long time Efren was looking up at him. The man deserves respect and it shouldnt shock or surprise anyone when he wins a race to 11 9 ball against any living human.

As far as the race to 100 thing I would love to see it. Parica approached us about doing something like that with Shane a couple years ago in Olathe. Nothing ever came of it. Maybe I will talk to Jose and see how the old stakehorse situation is looking.

Yeah whooped is harsh with that score a bad pushout could have been the difference. Parica and SVB have a lot of similar qualities especially with their demeanor at the table, seem to make the right choice mixed with some daring shots. I'd love to see them play, they are both experienced veterans, sounds weird cuz of the age gap but it's true. Last few times Parica has won certain matches and people are shocked, it's like when Kiamco made a run at Galveston. Just boggles my mind sometimes, when people play at that level anyone can win. Kind of like when Archer lost to Boyes, if you look up what Boyes has been doing for years he's a champion as well and it's a race.

There have been upsets in the US Open but most are kind of like when Duke beats Carolina and one of them is ranked 2 seeds above the other. Hard to call someone an underdog there but thats whats happening a lot this tourney and it's super to watch.

Well said Jcin...I don't know what Parica shot on accu-stats that match but Jay Helfert said he missed like one ball.....

This discussion got me to thinking about who would be favored in a race to 100 nine ball match between Parica and Reyes. I'm not so sure that Parica wouldn't be the slight favorite at this moment in time. It would be a great match to watch either way.

Jeezis! Who is gonna get in the middle of that one?!

OK, Jose vs SVB in a race to 100. I will bet my entire net worth but on one condition...

We must cryogenically freeze Jose until SVB is also 60 years old. Then we thaw out Jose and a 60 year old Jose shooting like he is now gets to play a 60 year old SVB, how ever he is shooting at that age and point in his life in a race to 100.

Who wants action?

That was easily the best match yesterday. Shane let his CB loose a few times and it cost him. Great match. I love Shane, but how cool would it be to see Jose finally win? In a long race, SVB dominates due to his much BIGGER break.

Who you want?

No BS there. Parica is a top-notch player, no doubt about it. I don't think there is any appreciable difference between SVB/ Parica in a single race to 11. Its a pick-em all day. Now, if you want to go to 100 or play 1p, that is a different song.

Who do you like in one pocket. I've never even seen Shane play one pocket, but I like Parica at that. I'd take Shane, in a race to 100, 9 or 10 ball

We are betting the same way...that was why I chose those 2 games: each was the favorite in one.

In a race to 100 in 9ball or 10ball, I like Shane.
In any race in 1pocket, I like Parica.

Then how about an all around Parica vs SVB one pkt, banks and 10 ball. Who do you like as the best all around player. Parica plays all the games well, not just checkers...........

Who said anything about checkers? You read funny.
Parica also won a DCC banks championship, so obviously he's the better all around player.

My pick too

If they play bank, one pocket, and 9 or 10 ball, I'd bet on Jose for the title. I like Shane on Barbox 8 ball tho. He plays that pretty sporty too.

That's exactly how I see it also. I admit I forgot about SVB on the barbox. You're right there also.

I dont care what ANYONE sais......Parica winning is HUGE!....crap, hes older then ....Hopkins?,....Sigel...Efren.....Rempe.....Hall...AND still layin em to waste....

I'm a big Shane fan, but I'm all about seeying Jose schoolin the younger dudes...

G.

Actually, if you bothered to watch the match, you'd have realized that Shane also fluked a ball in to run out in game 5 or so. You'd also know that in the past 6-8 months, they've played 4 times, all which have gone hill-hill. Mika has won 2 of these, as has Shane.

Shane is an awesome player, but he is beatable. As others have mentioned, anyone can win in these shorter races. The pinoys seem to be especially good at taking advantage of this.

Awhile back (at this years Predator 10ball maybe?), Shane and Alex were playing late night sets. The two played countless hours over the few days, and Alex was up at least $5k at one point. I'm not sure what the final result was.

Again, Shane's a monster, but he can't always win. I never understood why people are surprised when he loses the odd match. All the greats lose on occasion.

Your right I didn't watch the entire match but I watched the biggest part of it. Don't get me wrong I wasn't disrespecting Mika's game by any means as he is one of the most dangerous players on the planet at anytime, but in the interview after the match Mika himself said he got some really good rolls to win.
