Pay Pal dispute.

Hardly the way it went down. Why would I expect a refund before I returned the chalk.

I have the email from Pay Pal, I think I posted it stating that I had won the dispute.

But I am not going to go back and forth on AZ and fight if Chady is willing to work it out with me.

The original post was to ask if by using the word erroneous, that the address given was undeliverable.

Thanks for the email Chady. I sent you the Canadian Tracking number, which only takes it as far as Vancouver and the USPS number that they sent me and doesn't seem to work when you enter it in on their site.

I am going to the post office today to see if they can retrieve the package from USPS.

I would like to find out who handles the international part of the delivery. I paid Canada post and entrusted them to deliver the package. I think they should be partly responsible if the package was handed over to another carrier.

Mars, anything is possible. But believe it, the chalk was like a rock. I used it for 2 nights and I could not make a mark on the chalk.

And regardless of anyones reputation, how do you think I felt when I used the chalk for the first time?
Pretty much the same as anyone would who just sent someone $245 for 25 pieces of chalk and it wasn't what they paid for.
I have never dealt with Chady before and I was thinking that I got burnt.

Chady, I don't have a scanner but I can take a picture of the original postal receipt that clearly shows the tracking number and the address that you gave me.

You guys vouched for Chady and if I can get the package back, I will return it for 25 pieces of chalk. If I can get good chalk in return, thats all I wanted in the first place. Chady can keep the money.

I didn't check the main forum often and normally I don't fight on AZ. Anyway, this guy bought a few cosmo chalks from me. After he received the chalks he emailed me stating he doesn't like them. I offered him a refund for those "unused" chalks. He REFUSED to send the chalks back to me. HE WANTS ME TO ISSUE HIM A TOTAL REFUND WITHOUT SENDING THE CHALKS BACK TO ME. He then filed a paypal dispute. After a few weeks paypal guy emailed me telling me I won the case. Even paypal guys think the case is closed I still emailed him and offered him to send the chalks back to me and I will issue a refund. Heck. He is now stating my mailing address is incorrect. I requested him to send me the tracking number that way I could contact with the post office but he ignored my request. My paypal address is confirmed and I did many many transactions before. Personally I think he is trying to rip me off. Who's the victim? Bottom line is you will have to send the item back for a refund.

I rarely sell cues on AZ or Ebay like I did before. I am more on the buying side as oppoose to selling side now. I told Marcus the other day the reason I sell these cosmo chalks is I saw a WTB post. Since I bought 2 boxes (1400 pieces) of cosmo chalks from Japan I figured it's ok to part with some if someone needs them. These chalks are out of production. There are only 5 boxes (7000 pieces) left. My friend and I bought them out. I sold some of them to China and keep some for myself.

Terry is no rip off, he didnt like the chalk , he sent the chalk back to your address where is his refund.

Sounds like it dried out. You are in Saskatchewan? Not going to get any softer in that climate... I have often wondered if you could get chalk to become softer again by humidifying it, take a large glass bowl, put a rack in it, put abit of water in the bottom and put the chalk on the rack above the water, put saran wrap on the bowl to seal it and put it out in the hot sun somewhere for a week or two.

I am not saying I would want to bet $245 on that working, but if all else failed I would certainly give it a shot.

Pretty dry heat here but it arrived that way.

Mike, Chady doesn't have the chalk. When it went international, the package changed hands and it was deemed to be undeliverable to that address.

Chady confirmed his address again thru email and it is the address that was on the package.

Clearly a mistake on whom ever was responsible for the final delivery.

I am now in the process of trying to retrieve the package and will try this all over again.

I didn't really know who I was dealing with before but now that 3 members have vouched for his rep, I am more confidant that Chady and myself will be able to work this out in the long run.

Whether I get good chalk back or a refund, either way I will take whatever I get.

I had to pay extra for the tracking number and I believe there is a certain amount of insurance included.
If I can't get the package back from USPS, (and I have yet to find out why they have their hands on it if they don't handle international delivery) I may have to
see if I can get some back from Canada Post.

It went Canada Post to Vancouver, international carrier to Taiwan and apparently back to USPS. Why they are now in possession of the package is what baffles me at the moment.

USPS tracking number is N8806. When you type it into their tracking, it comes up blank. Try it and see.

The email I got from USPS worked once for when I opened it and now the pictures etc won't open. The tracking number in the email header is still visible.

And as a side note. Chady offered me a Florida address to send the chalk back to as another option. I refused to do that as I said I will send it to the address that Pay Pal had on file. I wasn't comfortable with that so maybe that is what made him think I refused to send the chalk back without a refund.

Thanks guys.

I was becoming hesitant on using AZB-market again..

Good to see aren't as bad as they seem to be..

Hope all works out for the best..

I don't know what some of the services like the mail are coming to. I am on East Coast USA sent a Priority to East coast. This was on the 19th I was told it would arrive two days later.

Today is the 25th. I found out from a 3rd party I supposedly did not send it and ignored emails.

I was able to pull up the emails to show they were sent and perhaps a Spam setting? I found the priority number and tracked it, arriving today the 25th.

The thing is the dates can't lie, things happen that neither party knows of. There was no one mad in my situation but with the wrong party could have been.

Communication is the key, 2 honest people can work things out which I hope is the case here. Good luck to all.

Thanks guys.

I've bought a few things from the states via USPS - each one had a 16 digit tracking number. I'm surprised yours is so small. I've bought a few things from Asia too, and have also had larger tracking numbers.

It's worth double checking.

I knew that you shipped the chalk back . and the chalk is sitting in some shippers warehouse in taiwan.

I also know you are in (no) way dishonest...............................

And the nightmare of adding shipping problems into a trans action where the customer isnt happy , just made this problem worse.

That may be strange then.

The email won't allow me to reply to it, but I can forward it.
If anyone is in doubt, I would be happy to forward what I received from USPS
to prove that is the number they gave me.

Anything that I have received from the USA with a number has been longer as well.

If that is the case Mike and it just might happen to still be in Taiwan, maybe a second delivery attempt is possible.

I forwarded it to myself hoping that I might be able to read the original message but apparently the message and pictures were lost according to the message I got with it.

One can still see the tracking number in the header as well as in the message but you can't read the message that said the address was erroneous.

Maybe it is one of those Mission Impossible emails that self destructs after you read it once.

Heading over to the Post Office in a few minutes but dealing with Fed Gov employees, I'm not expecting too much. Maybe I will be surprised.

Drove to the Canada Post main office. I was told that after it leaves Canada, it is shipped container. Obviously as it would have cost me $100 plus for air mail.

He said it would be approx 6 weeks and probably there but maybe not sorted as of yet.

I called Canada Post customer service, they gave me USPS customer service. Very nice lady and helpful that I spoke with.

Most definitely a fraudulent email that I received which just happened to coincide with my waiting for a shipment to arrive in Taiwan.

That said, I believe that Pay Pal is remiss in saying that I gave them an invalid tracking number and closing the case without myself having a say in the matter.

Chady, as far as I know, the package is still in transit and hopefully you will get it soon.

We will get it sorted out soon I hope.

Pay Pal has contacted me several times in the last while asking for my new credit card expiry date. The new card is sitting on my dresser at the moment and I probably won't be giving it to them anytime soon as in the future I will have to figure out a way of making payment to people I may do business with.

I recently did a deal with Guerra Cues for some phenolic. Tony uses Google Check Out. I was hesitant but registering was very simple and he received my payment with no problem.

Maybe Google Checkout is a good option for people that no longer have faith in Pay Pal.

If enuff people switch, it may send them a clear message.

The only reason that I let Pay Pal debit my chequeing account is that I have doubts as to whether my bank would allow a US company to lock it up like they seem to be able to do in the US. I have several businesses that debit my account and I can put a stop to any of them from doing so almost instantly. I may be wrong and far off from thinking this way and it may bite me in the butt in the future.
Pay Pal dicked me around with my credit cards enuff in the past that allowing them access to my account was about the only way as it was.

Champ, old chap, how do you do that single post thing? And get that avatar back immediately.

I still trying to wonder why someone from canada would drop 250 on that chalk, especially after reading it is no longer being made in and im guessing the biggest market in the world out there with the biggest demand. Why would the seller need to sell his last couple boxes on az? I give seller and buyer a FAIL here.

Thaiger try not to mess the Olympics up over there ok, i have to put my serious pants on now and go play baseball!!

OK. I've read enough.

Blue Hog ridr is no cheat, no thief, not dishonest, and not a scammer.

Now that that's out of the way....dude....you paid how much for that chalk? Did you bump yer head or something?

.

Well Champ, at this moment, I am trying to figure that one out as well but you must know how people are when it comes to pool cues and supplies.

When it was advertised as rare, of that I had no doubt as supply is limited due to not being manufactured any longer. When it was advertised as being the best chalk in the world, I guess I was hoping for a cross between Blue Diamond and Kamui. People that have had some in the past gave it rave reviews.

It goes from BD and Russian to Kamui, I was thinking that Cosmo might be somewhere in between. Never know until you try.

I get some supplies from Asia and it does arrive quicker than I can get packages from the USA. I did get this item in a very timely fashion and doubt that it had enuff time to get hot and dry out this much.

If it had have been a couple of pieces, I would have realized that I got a few bad ones. But all 25 were the same.

What amazes me the most is the fact that I got a scam email from USPS that just happened to coincide with me waiting for the arrival of the chalk to Chady. And it did happen within a day of getting an email from Pay Pal saying that I gave an invalid tracking number. What are the chances of that?

Doc, I know I bumped my head 11 years ago, enuff that the neurosurgeon had to do a little fixer upper for me.

But it was fair, I think chalk can be worth $9 a cube.

The games haven't officially started yet, but we've already managed to cause a major international incident by confusing the Koreas.

You leave it in our capable hands.

For what, lying about winning the Pay Pal dispute to make it look like
he was refunding out of the goodness of his heart?

For sending me 25 pieces of unusable chalk?

For making me pay $43 to send the chalk back?

I'm sure his return policy is much different for his high end cue buyers.
