Pay Pal dispute.

So it comes out of my account first.

Yeah I know how it works. Its a little late in this case, but you NEVER buy anything through PayPal in anyway way other than funded by a credit card. If you have money in your account you absolutely have to withdraw it first so the entire payment will go to a credit card (which you have to manually choose every time as PayPal will default to your linked checking account).

If you had done it this way (the way I've been posting here on AZ for 5 years) you would have disputed the payment with your credit card company and you would be all done. I really can't talk you through PayPal's dispute process because I've never used it.

Thanks anyway Kevin.

I appreciate the help.

Chady got back to me and gave me his current address, which is the one that I sent the package to.

I will have to assume that USPS couldn't find it and that is where the problem was.

Funny that USPS had sent me an email. I don't know where they would have got it from.

USPS owns 25 pieces of hard chalk and I will have to eat the money.

I will Chalk it up to a lesson learned.

If the lesson you learned was buy only through a credit card 100% of the time its a valuable one. Is the seller Chady? He's no scammer, not even remotely close. USPS does not deliver outside of the US, I believe they hand it over to an internal carrier. So USPS has some carrier telling them, they are telling you.

I do hope you get everything resolved.

I didn't want to comment about the seller until you wrote the name which I've already assumed who it was. Chady's a genuine seller, great rep here in China. He does quite some cue biz in this part of the world and is a pretty well known dealer (with a physical cue & case retail store plus another repair shop). I do hope the situation gets resolved for ya since you're one of the good guys here on AZ as well.

As for the Cosmo chalk, I do believe you got yourself a bad batch, did all of them have the same problem? If so Chady might need to check all them
Chalks cos these Cosmo chalks are really pretty dam good. It applies evenly and easily with very fine powder unlike regular chalks which is grainier.

Don't wanna go off topic...best of luck!

He not a scammer Kevin? OK, I'll take your word for it then.

I received 25 pieces of chalk that were complete garbage.

They were all the same. All one had to do is wipe your finger across the surface to tell that they were hard as a rock.

The first thing he told me was that he didn't do returns on international orders.
Sounds like a great guy to do biz with for a start.

Then he accused me of having buyers remorse and that the chalk was good.

You deal with him then. First and last for me.

Chady is one of my most valued business associates, most people in my shoes would call
him a friend but I am extremely selective with that word.

If there is no resolution between you two (which is very unlikely) I will give you the money myself.
I can only assume you caught him on a bad day, since the Chady I know does not do business this way.

Second post now that confirms what a great guy he is.
I'm happy for you.
Then answer me this. Why did he try and pawn off 25 pieces of garbage chalk on me?

Thats all I know and pretty much all I care about at this point in time.

Dave, there was no resolution between us. He told me to take it to a dispute if I wanted my money back.
He refused a resolution between himself, me and Pay Pal. When that happened PP advised me to escalate it to a dispute.

Tells me something right there. If you wish, you can Pay Pal me the money and I will send you the chalk when and if I get it back.

the guy that just posted above u is willing to pay the debt for chady, and u are still *****in?
comeon now

He offered to pay for it if there was no resolution between us.

The chalk is lost at this point. He can't pay for anything if I have nothing to send him.

I'm not *****in about nothing as far as his offer goes.

I think its pretty good of him to offer.

Hi Blue Hog,

From what I can tell you bought 25 pieces of Cosmo chalk from Chady and
you got 25 pieces of Cosmo chalk.
The Cosmo chalk might be the greatest thing since sliced bread or total crap,
I don't know because I never had it.

I have not yet had contact with Chady about this matter, I will contact him to get his
side of this story. Again, I have never known Chady like this so I am assuming something
else is going on.

If there is no resolution I will pay you back, this will not be today or tomorrow, I will need some time.
Not to get the money together but to get the full story and hopefully to get Chady to resolve this with you.
In the mean time if you could pm or email me the tracking number and if you wish the email correspondence.

I have bought over 20K worth of cues from Chady and he has always been great to deal with. I find it hard to believe that for $245 he would risk his stellar reputation.

Isn't it possible that the chalk was exposed to extreme heat and it dried out during shipping?

I'm sorry about your bad deal but what bothers me more than your loss
of money is the way E-bay/Paypal has treated you.You should be a V.I.P
to them. Even to a giant like them our numbers are impressive.

> There are currently about 13,000 pool cues for sale on E-bay right now.

>High asking price is $50,000.

> AZB currently has 28,605 members.

>Just one of several pool associations, BCAPL, has over 60,000 members.

It seems to me that they should be taking the the extra step to
facilitate clean transactions with our sub-culture.

Possibly an e-mail to them from AZB listing all AZB members who received
copies. it should note that there might be some entrepreneur out there who
will recognize that a profit could be made by carving out and specializing in
that niche and supporting industries.

Also note that their response will be forwarded to those members.:bash:

Dream on, huh?:banghead:

I didn't check the main forum often and normally I don't fight on AZ. Anyway, this guy bought a few cosmo chalks from me. After he received the chalks he emailed me stating he doesn't like them. I offered him a refund for those "unused" chalks. He REFUSED to send the chalks back to me. HE WANTS ME TO ISSUE HIM A TOTAL REFUND WITHOUT SENDING THE CHALKS BACK TO ME. He then filed a paypal dispute. After a few weeks paypal guy emailed me telling me I won the case. Even paypal guys think the case is closed I still emailed him and offered him to send the chalks back to me and I will issue a refund. Heck. He is now stating my mailing address is incorrect. I requested him to send me the tracking number that way I could contact with the post office but he ignored my request. My paypal address is confirmed and I did many many transactions before. Personally I think he is trying to rip me off. Who's the victim? Bottom line is you will have to send the item back for a refund.

I rarely sell cues on AZ or Ebay like I did before. I am more on the buying side as oppoose to selling side now. I told Marcus the other day the reason I sell these cosmo chalks is I saw a WTB post. Since I bought 2 boxes (1400 pieces) of cosmo chalks from Japan I figured it's ok to part with some if someone needs them. These chalks are out of production. There are only 5 boxes (7000 pieces) left. My friend and I bought them out. I sold some of them to China and keep some for myself.

well. FYI, I did offer him a replacement but he refused.

I am stilling waiting for the tracking number from him. If the parcel got to Taiwan I could call the post office to see where it is.

Anyone has a South West for sale. PM me.
Chady

Sure. I'll send you my South West and if you like it you can pay for it (NOT)

Seller should pay for ALL pieces. Not just unused.

Chady,do you have any of that chalk left? Would you sell it to me? What's the minimum order?

You are so hilarious. Go buy a bunch of cues from Predator. Chalk one of them than email Predator that you don't like them and ask for the full refund. Would they refund you?

Seller only refunds if the product is faulty not for change of mind unless it's stated. Chady was kind to offer the refund of unused chalks.

Clearly you were unhappy with the product Chady sent you. Do you really imagine that what happened was Chady himself took the chalk out and inspected it, figured it was crap and decided to send it to you? OK that's one possibility, but here's another, Chady told some employee to fill your order and the guy didn't check the chalk (maybe even understandable considering it was brand new). That wouldn't make Chady a scammer would it?

And the address deal sounds far more like an International screw-up (maybe even on your part) with the addressing. I imagine you addressed the the thing in English? Do you really imagine the postal service in Chady's country has a translator there to figure out every address? Things happen man, doesn't make people scammers.

Sorry you got a deal that you didn't like. That doesn't make Chady bad. He's not.

Sounds MORE THAN FAIR to me... if he wasn't pleased with the chalk he could have returned them even after PayPal ruled it in your favor. He would have only been out $9.00 for the one piece of chalk he used.

I can't understand why anyone would think they could keep the product and get a refund. :scratchhead:
