A little while ago Fat boy (Eric) let me know he had a Lucasi cue he no longer needed and because I have the now legendary forum Lucasi he thought I would like to have another. So he sent it to me and it turned out to be a Pechauer Pro series. Of course I let him know that he sent me a much better and more expensive cue and he was good with that. And I must add he charged me nothing for the cue and also paid the shipping. Stop!!!!
do not bug him to send any Gus cues he may not want anymore.
I just wanted to post this to let those of you who do not know him that he did an act of kindness to someone he has never met.He is a class act.
Now back to the cue. I played with it for about 5 hours on Saturday and needed no time to adjust to it. It felt like I had played with it for years. The butt is a little thicker then my Lucasi and the balance is about the same. The Pechauer has a little stiffer hit. I liked the way it plays. I think I could play the same with either cue. But 1/2 the people I showed it to thought the Lucasi was the nicer looking cue and the other 1/2 thought the Pechauer. I think on terms of pure feel I have to give the nod to the Pechauer. Oh one more thing the Pechauer has a nice Ivory feulle Eric had put on.

I played with a lucasi for years and years. I finally broke down, and bought a pechauer and thats my stick of choice now. The lucasi has been retired into the hands of my g/f, who is just learning to shoot, but I still play a rack with it from time to time.

Bruce this forum and the world for that matter needs more of that. I have seen it happen before on here and it will happen again:cool:. Way to go Eric. If I ever get down to Denver again I would like to meet up with you and try it out.

Let me know when you are coming down.

D-Rock...No matter what cue you play with, I'm just jealous that you get to play in the best poolroom the in USA...EVERY DAY if you want!

I was fortunate to spend most of 5 days there last month, and it sure leaves a good taste in your mouth! THANKS Mr. Page! Keep up the good work, and good luck to you and Rory in VA. Probably see ya there!

On topic...Way to go Eric! Good Karma follows you!

That is awesome. I've never met Eric but he seems like a super dude. I play with a Pechauer pro series and love it. Hope you enjoy!

Lucasi

Say it isn't so Bruce.
Although it's cool that Eric sent you a new cue which was very generous,
it forced your Lucasi into retirement.

If I were you I would put your electronic store Lucasi in a vault or a museum.

Congrats on your new Pechauer cue

I had a recent deal with Eric and all he sent me was exactly what he said he would, at a reasonable price. Fifteen brand new centennial balls plus whitey, in a box. Not sixteen or seventeen; just fifteen...

What kind of monster is he?

Best,
Brian kc

Am I now a respectible member of the Forum?

I remember all the threads Measureman (MM) was making before he bought his cue, he was doing his homework and was asking questions etc. right then he had my respect as his choice really mattered to him-I like players like that. I posted in a few of them. When He put up a thread a few weeks ago in the cue show-off forum and all he caught was shit-it hurt my feelings. I'm not mad at anyone for some of their wise cracks-some were funny,

MM was/is proud of his cue and wanted to start a Lucasi thread of pics of other Lucasi cues. Whats the harm in that, so what if he dosent have a Szam, he still has every right to take his cue (he made a million posts before he bought it) and start a thread cause he is proud of it. Period, The Value of cues isnt what its all about-its about cues and our personal relationships we players have with them and he wanted to share and got shit on. He only has one cue so to help his thread I thought I'd give him another cue so he would have a "start of a collection". I bought thecue in Germany,

I get names and brands of cues mixed up, Lucasi, Perchauer all sounded the same to me, so I asked him if he would like another cue to start a small collection, not to re-sell. He said sure. I sent him them the cue, I was just confused on who made it. I really thought I had a Lucasi so I boxed it up and shipped it, it felt great to make him happy. I hope he likes it. I am not into selling things often, when I do its at cost, I sold 2 sets of balls that week so I have a few bucks comming in the mail. I paid a pile for that cue in Germany cause the euro USD$$$ conversion wasnt to good. I really wanted MM to have a second Lucasi, but he still dosent-sorry buddy.:embarrassed2: I knew he would appericate the cue many more times than I would. And I just felt like making someone happy, shits been so bad for me, I thought making someone else happy was a good move.

I hope he likes it and if he dosent switch to it as a daily player thats cool, cause now he has a cue collection.

you have awalys had my respect on this forum, and been a respected member for along time, what you own or dont own dosent define how you should be respected, its the content of your charcter-not cues in thesafe or how good you play. I might respect a mans pool game and have no respect for the man. you've been good with me and I would guess the rest of AZ for a long time.

Enjoy,

Eric

MM: Use both cues, take notes of which cue you did the best with and use the one that brings out the best in you, dont let the maker, price, looks influence your decision. One of those 2 cues will more than likely work better for you. Shoot drills and see which one you pocket the highest % of balls with as a example of a way to compair them. Dont feel any pressure from me on which cue to use as a daily player

Very cool of Eric to send you the cue. We all have stuff sitting around we don't plan on using or selling, so putting them in appreciative hands is very gratifying.

You never know when someone is going to send you something cool.

So far, I've gotten:

1) Palmer brand cue wax and lots of old catalog stuff from Hunter (Steve)

2) a brick with the name "Palmer" on it from a demolition site from Knifemaker in Texas.

3) Autographed photographs and bunch of old shaft blanks and ferrule material from the classy John Showman.

4) blanks from John Davis.

5) several old cues and several cases were donated by appreciative collectors.

6) a Lyptus shaft from BHQ

7) A Palmer flyer from Jay Helfert

8) a phenolic break tip from Kevin Varney

I try to send out stuff to people when I can too, or help them out if it's something I can readily do.

Hey, you still have that "Palmer Video, Lifetime membership" card I gave you? :p

And speaking of Pechauers...

Anyone got a pic of the cue Max Eberle is using? Friggin sick! The shaft alone is nicer than any full cue i've ever owned!

I believe it is based on this model:
