In these times, the veteran and seasoned pros who are Hall of Famers do not reap very much benefit in the way of monies (IMO). I like seeing the legends like Buddy Hall being afforded this golden opportunity, and one thing for sure, Buddy Hall's stroke will definitely be strong on that slower cloth.![]()
At this stage, I do not understand the format clearly. I was told by Kevin Trudeau's secretary that every single person who has been accepted into the IPT will be welcome to attend the Orlando event and see firsthand how it will unfold as there will be a players meeting at that time for EVERY member.
So the IPT members who did not get "invited" to the FIRST invitational event are urged to come to Orlando and hear it from the promoters what this tour is truly all about.
I'm still in a wait-and-see stance and hoping that the IPT will be a change agent for the game/sport.

Im hoping the players can make a decent buck with it but as Colin pointed out, to do that-It probably will need to take an approach that will not appeal to the current fan base or to pool purists.
It for sure is not appealing to me from what i see.
People have been saying 8 ball is so much simpler.
I disagree- Let's say Mike Sigel breaks, makes the 8 ball and two solids. They spot the 8 and then Mike starts running out Stripes. What is the average Bar Banger going to think? There is more confusion over 8 Ball than any other game by far.
9 Ball is simple-not 8 Ball. From my experience watching tons of 9 Ball tournaments, the only thing that confuses the first timer is the push out.
Round Robin??= Confusing, Boring, Anti Climactic. Give me a break!!
Now throw in 'no shot clock' - WTF??
Slow Nap cloth, No Jump Sticks?
It sure seems like a recipe for boredom.
Maybe the players will be encouraged to wear wrestling type outfits and scream at each other and the fans as they play? I just dont see it working without something more
BTW-September is more than half over-What are the dates for the TV airing of the first IPT event that drew so many celebrities? Anyone?
