I just got back from open and had heard the chinese had decided to leave early and were told they had to wait. A source close to barry told me barry doesn't pay until a bracket is completed and it's always been that way (right or wrong) so lets not throw him into the fire yet. The money was suppose to be all escrowed before this event started so all these rumors are just more haters stirring the pot. It may or may not be true but unless one of these players publicly makes these charges its BS. Now on another note the seating and layout on this event could not have been worse. If your reading barry unless its back at the convention center you should just make this a internet event because nobody's coming.
Reading more on another thread and I hope for everyone its not true but if it is it's definitely a death blow to the open with the seating and everything else.

The players just want to play, due to the lack of major tourneys. Not their fault totally as they are always willing to hope that things will change.
An effective Boycott would have to be arranged by some group of influential Players who got together for the common good of the game and themselves.

A Chinese player that travels all this way to play again even tho he is still owed $1500 from 2 years ago. If true, wonder how many others share his story.

Ernesto Dominguez was given a post dated check. This info came from Oscar earlier at the Marriott. It is so sad that these guys cant come and compete and just get paid when its over. It blatantly obvious from his bumbling speeches that Barry has plenty of funds for the bar. And people wonder why pool is in the toilet. Berry's car was also parked in a handicap spot right out front, with no handicap tags or placard for the windshield. That in itself says a lot all other things aside.
