Hello, I had a customer bring in a cue today that I could not positively identify. Please any help would be appreaciated!!

Update: The cue has a 5 1/6-18 pin Brass into Brass, and Courtland Irish Linen wrap. The cue also has a Delrin Butt cap, I truely believe that the cue was made in the late 60's or early 70's. The owner said he was told that the cue was a Tad, and Tad used Brass on Brass during this time frame and he also used a 5 1/6-18 pin.

cue id

Interesting that 'E' ring is thinner than the others. Think the butt has been replaired/replaced? Maybe a Martin? I think the big clue is the cut off tip on the joint pin.

I also think the pin is the clue. The pin in this cue is a 5 1/6 - 18 pin which is Brass into Brass. The owner was told that it is an old TAD, and the pin kinda bears this out, but I am unsure.

Thanks for the information!!

It looks alot like my Danny Stout stick wrap and all.--Leonard
mine has Stout in butcap like a Schon

The cue has a Courtland Irish Linen wrap, and 5 1/6-18 pin Brass into Brass I am certain that it was made in the late 60's or Early 70's. However that is all that I am certain of.

Thanks for your information

One more thought

I was flipping through some pics of an old Adam cue I have and the joint rings are very similar. Thick silver bands and about the same width of black. 5/16x18 too. Possible clue

Cue

Craig, Im not going to swear to this, but I think Tad numbers all his cues under the bumper....... again, I wouldnt swear to that in a court of law, or on here for that matter.

It could well be an early Tad. They would need to see the cue to authenticate.

Anyone find out what this cue was? I found a guy selling one just like it in poor shape, he was saying it was a TAD.
