All of us who love the game of pool should be supporting the efforts of the gang at the Action Challenge. These great matches will be the stuff of legend later. But they can only continue if the pool community jumps on board and supports their efforts. It costs a great deal of money to produce these events and you can help guarantee that they continue by tuning in and watching them. Please help these guys continue on for years by signing up and watching. Plus, there is no better lesson than watching how the best players play the game.
 
I agree Jerry and I will sign up to watch even if I don't have a bet on it. Johnnyt
 
I personally challenge every azer to pass out 100 flyers for these events. take them to league, have the league operator put them in the envelopes, take them to the pool hall, email them to your contact list. If every azer would do this this might take off. I will do my part will you?

Challenge matches were a big part of pool up until about 1960. In the early days a champion was crowned at these events. The hotels and ballrooms where they held them were sold out and the major newspapers did write ups on the players and matches before and after. If the powers that be that run TV sports programing see that enough people hold an intrest in pool they might jump on it big like poker. Johnnyt

It pissed me off seeing the dismal support that the pool community gave the last action challenge. All the people complaining about the sad state of pool on this board and everywhere but look at how many came out and supported one of the best things to happen to pool in forever!

These guys producing this event aren't doing it for the money, or have ulterior motives like some crook who isn't worth mentioning, they're doing it because they love the game and want to see it prosper. They aren't even some nameless people that we don't know either... They are our fellow AZ'ers! Justin (JCIN) & Chad (BigNasty) need our support and I'll support them any way possible that I can.

And I challenge every AZ'er to do the same damn thing. Period dot
 
Unfortunately it didn't work well on my Mac, I don't know if others also had trouble. When I get a new Mac that can run Windows, that won't be an issue.

I really enjoyed it too and really hope they can keep pulling these matches off.

I think its a great thing that they are doing for the sport and I will be on board again for this one.
 
Many of us would like to purchase these events but don't or won't use paypal. If they were set up to do credit cards or money orders in advance they would get way more participation. It's not hard to get set up for card purchases. All the internet stores accept cards or they would be out of business. It's their show and they can do it anyway they wish but i'm sure there would more event sales with easier and more accepted ways to pay. It is the best thing to happen in pool in a long, long time, maybe ever. Just wish they had other ways to pay.

When you use your credit card it goes through paypal. you don't have to have paypal. I don't use paypal either but paid through it for the 1st event. Johnnyt

Thanks, I didn't realize that you didn't have to be a paypal member.
 
Ill support Action Challenge as soon as I get what Im owed from JCin......payed my 20 and receive nadas so far......maybe real life situations
 
i would go as far as staking a player in an event if I liked the action, I was offered an oppertunity to stake a player on a future event and didnt get on it fast enough(thanks for the offer), I wasnt in love with the bet so I hesitated a day and lost my chance :( -i'll still take a piece if its possible, but I will 100% stake a player in an event soooner than later, I would have staked SVB, Supporting them(actionreport/players/commentators etc) is great at all levels, I hope they get 1000 buys for each event sooner than later, they are bringing the rail into peoples home thousands of miles away real time....does it get any better?

Good thread, if we dont act fast it wont last, so promote the shit out of this for all of us.

JCIN if I remember correctly he was the one that lost his $20 because his paypaul didn't work correctly. He asked if he could get a TAR t-shirt and would call it even.
 
I bought the ppv for the first Challange and loved every minute of it until the screen went black. I'll be among the first in line for the next two ppv's. I think, as has been said many times, that this is the best thing to happen for us pool fans in maybe 50 years.

That rings a bell, I did sleep that.

Cajun, if this is correct, pm me what size you wear and a shipping address and I will send you a Got Action, Bet Something, and Action Challenge Shirt.

Warning: All we have in the Action Challenge is XL and up.
