Pool Brew

If you are the type of person who enjoys a good beer with your pool, would it interest you if a brewery produced a beer specifically with you ( pool players) in mind ?

If it was competitively priced and had " everything you want from a beer" , would you purchase a " pool brew" instead of the beer that you typically drink?

Lol, a brew specific to pool? I'd give it a go. It had better be tasty though. Also might suggest moderate alcohol content so as to avoid getting to far gone to shoot good pool. Maybe around the ABV of a session IPA maybe.

And and a good name wouldn't hurt. Something like Ol' Rail Pounder or some such thing.

Absolutely.
It would be tournament blue, and taste like the little waitress that works here on the weekend.
What? No, I didn't mean it that way. I meant, you know......sweet. It would taste sweet.

Gawd yes! I have bought pool beers many times and most were not meant to be drank while trying split pockets.

The first one here is great beer but too rich to drink more than one. The last of these three is very large and powerful and tasted like....socks(old).
The beer in the middle was my choice but only found in Europe.

I think there is a small brewery operation right next to Joe Gold's shop. Might be worth chatting with them.. You could call it Cog Gold Lager!

I would try it at a reasonable price and if I liked it I would keep buying it.

I wouldn't keep drinking it just because it was for pool players if I didn't like it.

That would be the same as buying Bud because it has my NFL team on the can or Lite because it is in the "original" shaped bottle. It doesn't make that crap any better.

Without hesitation. Money is no object for some treasures

APA IPA? Comes with a detachable label patch.

Back in the 50's E & B was a very popular beer in the Detroit area. There was a peel off label that concealed a poker hand. People in the bars would buy the beer and the person with the worse hand bought the round. I am sure people would play other games at home.

I heard that the state stepped in and made then stop providing the labels because of the gambling involved.

Nope, there is just too much good beer out there, I'm not going to change my preference because there is a pic of a 9ball on the can or bottle. Just does not matter to me at all. Kind of like the beer cans with your favorite football teams, just zero interest in that gimmick as well.

My wife is the beer drinker. I play designated driver. However, you'd play hell getting her to order anything other than a Black Butte Porter, brewed in Oregon.
