IM going to have to check that place out when i get there in a few months.

When my nephew returned from Iraq, he took a 30-day leave, I think it was. Anyway, he and his father (my brother) went to Puerto Rico for a vacation.

My brother reserved a "presidential" suite at Fort Buchanan for $99 per night. It had two bedrooms with two bathrooms, a living room, a deck, et cetera. It was about 20 minutes from town, though. So you need to rent a car or take a cab.

They said the town was very crowded, and the traffic moves slowly. So, if you were to stay in town, that might be a good place too, so you don't have to drive.

However, I wanted to tell you about Fort Buchanan because it was clean, safe, and nice. They were right across the street from the PX and commissary, and they have a work-out room with equipment as well.

This hall is in the South-West of PR. It is open after 5 pm from Wednesday to Sunday.

Get in touch with me if you make the trip to Puerto Rico. I live only 15 min away.

Oh, man, you got it made in the shade, then. I do hope you enjoy yourself soaking in that beach sun and feeling the warm breeze. How nice it will be for you to spend it with family.

You should contact juegabillar when you go. He'll definitely be able to show you the pool scene in Puerto Rico, as opposed to having to search on your own. He'll know the best place to hit some balls.

God bless you and all the rest of the soldiers, marines, sailors, airmen, reservists, and guard. Thank you for your service! :)

Here's a picture of my nephew on the left on leave from Army tour and my die-hard Marine of a brother on the right. My brother was in Nam. My nephew was in combat in Mosul area and was hit by a sniper his first week in Iraq. Thankfully, it wasn't serious, but he did get a couple Purple Hearts while in Iraq.

This is the billiard room at the Spadina House, also called Spadina Museum. It is an historic manor on Spadina Road in Toronto, Canada, that is now a museum operated by the City of Toronto Culture Division.

Pakistani boys play billiards in the Christian neighborhood of Khashi Kaluni.

Look at the pollution and garbage there. That is quite sad to see those young boys having to live like that. However, it looks like they're having a good time, despite their surroundings.

This one is in Tibet. Check out that outfit of the native guy, and then look at the two fellows playing behind him, looking like they came right out of a pool room in the States

This is near the railway line linking Lhasa to Golmu in Tibet. What a mixture of cultures! :)

Thanks so much for sharing, Ine. Wow, your pool room is so clean! What a pleasure it must be to shoot pool there.

Look at the contrast of your great room and the place where the Pakistani boys are playing. And I have never seen so many outdoor pool rooms as I have on this thread, like in China and Tibet. What do they do when it rains?

Here is a close-up of a nomadic man playing pool outside in Qinghai Province, People's Republic of China.

I wouldn't want to get this guy mad at me if I won. He's carrying a weapon in full view! :o
