ill give you a much needed bump,times are tought now as you know,i wish you luck.
Maybe put more info.............where you llive? what you expect for pay? do you have a criminal record? etc.............
Most cuemakers are not going to teach you a money making craft for free. Time and materials cost too much. I would expect to pay a "tuition" for learning cuemaking.

I loved my first job at a poolroom , I made a dollar an hour in the late 60s and even though I couldn't play dead , I won a little extra most weeks.
After a year or so it got old and I moved on.
If there had been any real good players in the room I probably would have been there a lot longer.
I'm glad now that there were not.
Do it while you are young and unmarried, if you are married or want a family , they usually don't mix well.
Do yourself a favor and ask a few professional players their thoughts on your idea.

You could always start out as a cabana boy and work your way up.

I'm thinking of starting a pool room in Juno, Alaska. If you happen to be in that area, I will instantly declare you the assistant manager of the room.
You do realize you are asking for a job on an international forum? So if I was starting a pool room in New Zealand and needed someone to brush the tables in between rentals you would be available? Give some info man, heh....

A year and a half ago you said you were jobless and asking someone who had a table in their house to take you in. I guess so you could practice for nothing. I think you asked about the same thing of a pool room owner. So what have you been doing the last year and a half? Did you ever get a job? You are approaching 30 years old I think at this point in your life asking for charity is not a very productive method. By the way, from your past postings you don't want a job you just want to play pool and find a way to not pay table time. I had plenty of employees like that they are in every pool room, no one needs to import them.
Yeah I gotta agree with Macguy on this and call BS. First of all if your were serious you would have supplied pertinent information like age,location ,previous work history, etc. Would you hire someone based on the info you got. If you are really serious than good luck and Gods speed cause not to many are willing to take a chance on someone who doesn't seem to want to really help themselves. Go to McDonalds, flip burgers until you get things straightened out to where you can make a serious change in your life.
You remind me of the guy that came into my office awhile back looking for a job, he had on a T-shirt that read "I cant believe I got out of bed for this"! Then he asked if we drug test, when I said you bet we do, he said that if I was to hire him could I wait a few weeks so that he could pass it. Really? Whats with people these days?

Thats funny Chris. If a guy like that could pass a drug screen, he'd be dirty again the day after and you'd have to make him do a P test every day/week.
