Pool Idiots Every Where

To be a good instructor, you don't just need to master the skills you're trying to teach.
You need to be able to communicate effectively, and know how to work with people.

This guy already fails 2 out of 3, so at this point, who cares how well he hits balls?
I'd never sign up to hear what this donkey has to say.

Don’t know exact context, but I like the guy already. Would take a lesson and see how it goes. There is no one within 100 miles of me that does lessons.

Is there a reason why Tinderloins Tommy had to make this public and couldn't just keep weeping into the pages of his diary?

Tissue, Tommy?

Well, since Tony Annigoni's room was smack dab in the Tenderloin district of Frisco, I'd say the chances are pretty good it's him.

That was my first guess too, but I took a lesson from Tony and he really got me straightened out on a few things. Based on my experience I don't think this was written by him.

Although that was a long time ago and things change...

I resent the term pool idiot. I prefer billiard learning disabled. Now shut up and just explain the secret aiming system before I get bored and start watching cartoons.

I doubt he is getting attention from anyone at all-On his best day a pool idiot might fart near him. JMHO

In general, 99% of the instructors I've met do good to find the room, much less teach.

IMO, with instructors, hiring an instructor is not like anything else. They are either good or bad, there's no in between. Because of that, most feel screwed after a few lessons since they had one of the 99%.

Folks, it's that 1% that you have to hire for instruction. Sure, their more expensive, harder to book...etc...etc but worth every penny.

Tony
If they are not pool idiots , pool noobs, smart alecks, they would not be taking lessons, right?
If you cannot handle it, go flip burgers. :D

I think the only idiot is the one that knows how and goes to death without passing on his talents and passion to others. I'm 68 now not a spring chicken anymore and help every young person I can understand and help. I do this for free. It only will keep pool/billiards interest high in a sport that lets admit dying. If you don't think so look around at the number of joints you can go to to play pool.

I thought the "joint" was where you did hard time?

I don't know that I would listen to Tenderloin Tony. His judgement wasn't too good and things ended badly for him in New Orleans.
