Pool Wars by Jay Helfert

Finished the book yesterday. Great stories, Jay! Hope you are still considering the audio CD version.
And a sequel too ...

Mailed out numbers 465-472 today. This is the last chance to get a numbered copy. About 25 left, #488,498,499 and 500 are gone.

I'm a lazy procrastinator but when I have too, I do. I hate the job of writing checks and addressing envelopes, but, I refuse to have a Paypal account and Jay refuses to do credit cards, so, check for two copies will be in mail today.

Don't feel bad Dave, I don't like addressing envelopes either and I just did a few hundred!
I think this part is harder than writing the book. Everyone knows me at the post office already. I've become a regular, and I can't even get a game. ;)

Hey Jay, your an early riser. You must behave yourself and go to bed early. I'll give you a game. I'll play you a game of straight to 100, even, no weight required. All you have to do is come to Racine.

Dave

Oh, that's for $100.00

I'm on my way. Leave a light on for me!

#378 checking in on my book reading. I am up to the part where The Big Indian Kid got into a battle royale in Jay's pool hall and got his ass handed to him. Great read so far:)

To this day the most vicious fight I ever saw between two men. It went on and on, like a death match. This was one I couldn't break up if I wanted to.

Not a great book (I've high standards for books), but certainly well worth the read. Pool players will undoubtedly find it interesting and I think quite a few others might as well.

Well, it's already been established that Jay is no Truman Capote. :grin-square:

Procrastination has been overcome. The check for 4 copies is on its way. I deliveried it personally to the Wells Fargo office and they assured me that it would go on the next wagon. It may be across the Mississippi by this time.

I am back from my cruise and loved the book. It was an easy read (finished the first day) and very enjoyable. I would love to see a movie of this stuff. I gotta say Jay, this was worth the wait. I can't wait for Pool Wars II.

Dave, Haven't you ever heard of the Pony Express? Costs a little more but well worth it!

Finished

Jay

I finished reading my copy last night as well. I started reading slower and slower as I got closer to the end. It was such a good read that I did not want it to end. The book was great and I am glad to hear that it is selling well for you.

Thanks again

Kevin
