Comon' AZ! I understand the reasoning behind the 25 post limits. But to go and remove 25+ post of mine because I'm a newer poster isn't cool.

I did not go through and post 1st post, 2nd post,etc. I had maybe 2 spam posts out of the 20 something posts I had. Now they remove all my posts and leave me with 2 posts. Thanks for the friendly welcoming attitude! :thumbup:
 
Keep up the good work Dave. It is appreciated.

Clarify something.
Request information.
Add a perspective of value.
Consider what would be of value to members.

Stop discussing special treatment.
There are many members on the forum and reasons known and unknown for the rules.

Make a contribution.

Just a suggestion.
 
Its a good reason for it... Ive only been on here since january and I look at the action room all the time... The SC5 guy is a nut he has like 6 different names...

I agree fully thats why all my post were within those requirements. I just believe they went about with reckless abandon instead of actually reading them.
 
You might have gotten lumped in with the other a$$holes who recently cluttered up the main forum with useless crap. It's nothing personal, just keeping the d-bags out from spamming us with crap. Like slide said, contribute something useful.

I agree Billy, same thing happened to me. I understand now a little better but it hurt to lose all of my posts with only a few being spam when I jumped in the fray.

To me it was the way it happened all of a sudden and to my knowledge no warning.

I do see a need to require a waiting period though, especially now that the Feds are getting involved in internet gambling. The action room is wide open. Of course how long would it take for an agent to infiltrate the Action Room.

What I really didn't appreciate was the attitude of the regular guys, like we should have known better. There's a lot of woofing and name calling on here and a few spam posts are really no different.

I have a friend who ran a few vBulletin sites in the past and their security wasn't too good. Things may have changed but there are ways around EVERYTHING.
 
I don't want spam things as much as the next guy but I've had my same user name for years. I posted a few things when people have questions that I can answer. But for the most part I keep my opinions to myself. Users should thank me for not cluttering the forums with useless crap. Not anymore though, I need 11...check that 10 more posts and I'll again go away.

different standards for different forums

What some may not understand is that the action room operates under far more relaxed rules than the main forum. Behaving in the same manner on the main forum as many people behave in the action room is a quick route to major issues with the mod's. Those that have only frequented the action room in the past who must now come to other forums to get their twenty-five posts in to be able to see the action room may not be aware of the differences or may have forgotten.

Not a good idea to complain about the restrictions on the main forum, be glad that the action room is more freewheeling. Were the main forum rules as relaxed the place wound degenerate into a garbage site and solid posters and content would fall to near zero. When the posters here to seriously discuss pool and the people here to learn leave so will the advertisers. This is a commercial site, run off the advertisers and there is little reason to put up with the aggravations of running a site.
