Prayers for Jimmy Fusco..

Rip jimmy

You will be missed and you gave a lot to the game and to many players, young to the old.

Always willing to share some of your knowledge.

Now go enjoy the other great pool players in heaven,

Respectfully,

mike 'acedonkeyace' kennedy

Jimmy was a great player and great to watch. I remember him and my uncle going at it quite a few times... RIP JF...

Rest in piece Jimmy and thoughts and prayers go out to the friends and family of the "The Philadelphia Flash".

Another Champion gone. RIP

Bad thing about this generation, is very little video record of him out there. JAM struggles to find old videos of Keith and frankly there just isnt many out there. Those who have had the chance to see them play are very lucky.

Sad news, a friend I just talked to from the old school PA pool scene had spoke with John pannucci who kept in close contact with jimmy a few times daily with calls until recently.... we learned jimmy was on life support and had his wife at his bedside.
John, family, friends and everyone that knew jimmy is heart torn to learn of his passing.

Deepest condolences to his loving wife.

I hear jimmy had played some very strong 1pkt.

It is, indeed, sad news. Jimmy was a kind and gentle soul.

For those who don't know who Jimmy Fusco was, here's short bio from when he was inducted into the One Pocket Hall of Fame ih 2007 from OnePocket.org: https://www.onepocket.org/JFuscoHOFpage.htm

Nice piece Jam. I spent many early morning hours in that poolroom on the Boulevard watching the Philly legends in the 60's. Colorful guys.

You saw some great stuff. I never saw Jimmy play...and that is weird as I grew up in Philly. I knew Jimmy briefly...met him at Tacony and chatted with him various times. Are there any videos of his 1P or 9ball.

Here's a quote from Jimmy from a 2015 article on the Philly Billiards scene:

"If I had a teenager, or someone in their 20s, I'd want them in a pool room, not a casino," Fusco said. ""People, years ago, thought all these bad things were happening in the pool rooms and --" he grunts, as if holding back laughter from the funniest thought imaginable -- "we used to laugh, you know, because it's like a church in here compared to what happens at a casino. Us? We're priests, popes and nuns."

RIP Jimmy.
