I say they should do what they want. They are human just like the rest of us and can make their own decision.

Pool is one of the few games/sports where the general population still has an abundant amount of access to the professional players. Most professionals in other areas have figured out they are best to just stick to themselves as they can't make everyone happy. They also make enough money they don't need to reach out to the general population to offer lessons, dvds, etc. The general population reaches out to them, which is the exact opposite of pool.

So my vote is.....let them do what they want and appreciate you have such easy access to them.

i like facebook better.i know who im talking to because they use name and face.
i get bored on here talking to people because i dont know who im talking to.
honestly i think azb is a total waste of time for all parties involved.
too many insults,arguments,probashing etc.

it just seems that way sometimes.
the way the y lady majic scolded me i can deal with.i think shes using name and face .thats how a forum ought to be. people would be way more respectful to each other.
for the record i would much rather hang out with 99 percent on here in person.we all like pool and probably all become friends but instead i read so much insults towards each other that i just cant be on here much.it makes me dislike all things pool.

friend me on fb if u want that way i know whos talking to me.
in closing again 99 percent idiot comment was out of line on my part,its more like 5 percent and even that 5 percent are probably good people but we will never know with keyboard etc.

That's why I use my name & picture on here, I like knowing who I'm talking to as well. I've only been posting somewhat regularly since November & have found that to be the case with many people but there are some on here that I enjoy interacting with as well. Glad you are posting some on here. :)

This was a joke thread since I get tired of reading posts and responses where folks get so overbearing on others. Lately the Pro's seem to be taking a lot of hits. Maybe next month it will be the cue makers.?

I think the forum is big enough for fans, players, pro' s or anyone.

Hey John, you make a great point. I dont think it matters whats said when the intent is to improve the game, but thats not the intent of many of the comments on this form and its sad.

Yup. I wouldn't blame you, John. The negativity from quite a few forum members toward pros really pisses a lot of us off. I don't have an answer for you. It gets to be like a high school lunchroom at times. Jealousy? Bitterness? Who knows why they do it?

Do what you got to do. We'll be here if you find the time. GL.

Why do you believe pros give them such "funny feelings inside" John? Give us your honest opinion, I can't figure out why some of them get so touchy when the pros come around. I personally think it's great when guys like you pay us a visit. ;) Of course I only like the "tough games". 'The Game is the Teacher'

You're the reason I ever posted on here...I just happened to see the aiming thread about you and Corey and thought, "I think I'll give my opinion on this subject," and the rest, as they say is history.

Everyone says pros shouldn't tolerate some of the "critics", to me it's a study in human behavior. Where else could I learn about patience, tolerance and understanding? This is the perfect training ground, and It's free, go figure.;)

Good luck at DCC if you're going, John, I'll pay you a visit and play some straight pool one of these days. That's on my "bucket list". Aloha

There is a lot of chaff to cut through to get to the wheat but there is quality here John. There are a lot of good people who post here and many more who just read it.

Unfortunately the nature of a forum, and especially one with weak moderation, is that the it allows people to get in cheap shots with no chance of being admonished for it.

That's why a relatively small group can ruin it for the rest of us. Pro-Bashing is exactly the right term but it's not the majority that is doing it, it's a very small minority. I would say that more than 90% of the members who post regularly are good folks who don't have a mean bone in their body. They respect what you and your fellow pros have accomplished and your wisdom (except for your views on aiming systems....jk).

It's too bad that the thorns kill the action for everyone. Maybe someday Mike will add a few more moderators to keep up with the forum and if so things will improve for the better.

Until then, don't abandon us, remember where you got your backer for the US Open! :-)

There is a lot of negativity on here lately and pros do not get the respect they've earned... Too many keyboard commandos... But I agree with JB it is a small minority. I think this forum has much more potential and I encourage lower tolerance from the moderators.

John it was Henry Ford who said "I don't care if they say good things or bad things as long as they say Ford". I may not be exact on the quote but it is close . You are a professional Pool Player and the last I heard a room owner.The game of Pool needs all the help it can get.When things are flourishing is when people have the luxury of choosing one over the other,it's only my opinion but I feel Pool needs every exposure it can get. I have had the opportunity of talking with you in person several times the last being in Youngstown OH, 2 yrs. ago and feel you represent Pool as it should bevery professional.I am only writing this because of my respect for you and how much someone like yourself is needed.

Hey John!

I understand how you feel, and completely understand why.

For me, I think that overall AZ is a good place for pool and for you guys as well. I think we would all like to see more of you.

As to how to deal with the negative side, I give you a quote I have often heard. "Don't argue with idiots! They'll bring you down to their level and beat you with experience!".
