somehow the thread title has been changed on this one?

Mr. Wilson or one of the other moderators merged the two posts together and picked this title, at least that is what appears to have happened.

The moderators must also be a fan of this "businessman" to have changed the title to benefit him.
The bottom line is that it doesnt matter if SA was out to harm PP's rep or not, the fact is that PP harmed his own rep with his attitude towards a customer, and the bad language he dared to use toward a customer. And i'm surprised that the moderators would let him continue to post after using bad language such as what he's used. And i would be surprised if he ever gets anymore "new" business from any one here. Except for his buddies who are praising him of course.

i dont think they changed the title to benefit or take away from either party.. i think they just used keywords from both the titles of both threads... and it just turned out like that...

Hal, to save the signature, the refinisher has to sand the area around the signature VERY lightly. What they are actually doing is trying to leave a coat of finish over the signature. If the signature is between coats, you will lose it, if you go a hair too deep, you will lose it. It is also time consuming as the refinisher would have a better sanding job if done completely on the lathe, but he can't do this around the signature. Then, if the signature WAS saved, it MAY turn dark over time as the old finish and the new finish are not compatible. This is the way it was explained to me.

I just realized something about this post that I really dig....

Aaron drove over 60 miles and spent in excess of $80 to get the Q to RUSS in order to get the Q signed as fast as possible. For reasons beyond his control it took apprx 2 wks longer than anticipated for the Q to get back to him. How many other Q builders/refinishers would do the same??? I commend Aaron for the effort he put into getting this Q back to the customer.

After the extraordinairy effort he put forth and out of pocket expense he incurred I can see why he had negative thoughts about the customer after the customer went public. Aaron made a MISTAKE by expressing those thoughts here. I'm sure he has learned from this.....

I will continue to send Aaron work and get more than I bargained for:)
I have dealt with Aaron on numerous occasions and have good transactions every time.He has always done as promised with the trades or sales.I have also had a couple that were refinished by Aaron that were absolutely awesome looking.I agree that you would be hard pressed to find another cue refinisher to do the same things as spending alot of money out of pocket just to make the customer happy. In addition,40+ pm's is a heck of a lot of communications to have with someone on their project.I hate that these type of problems have to come onto a public forum but, everyone has an opinion just like everyone has an a-hole.Only some stink worse than others.:D

Do not be mislead of the 40+ PM's. That number is the totaly between the 2 of us. Mine to him out numbers his to me..:)

And dont let the driving 60 miles and paying extra mislead you either. He didnt go that extra mile for the customer, he did it because he screwed up the signature job. If he hadnt screwed up the signature then he wouldnt have had to drive 60 miles and take the extra 2 weeks. That was his expense not the customers. So enough trying to make him out to be a hero for something that he caused himself.

and you know that as fact? how? First hand experience?

From my experience Aaron would go the extra mile for a cutomer, and would do what ever it takes to make sure of customer satisfaction, and this I do know from personal experience ....... I'm sorry that anyone has had a less than great experience dealing with Aaron, all I can comment on is how he has treated me, which has been top shelf..........

Did I miss something? This is a thread about how somebody screwed up a refinish job on a cue. Where are the pictures?
