It wasn't Putnam. It was Charlie Bryant, and it did get kind of heated until ref Frank Del Pizo stepped in.

Unless Daz is WAYYYYY tougher than he looks, him calling Hillbilly a fat ass seems ill-advised.

You got that right. I have a vivid memory of hearing a man's arm bone snap in Louisville one year. The poor fellow wanted to arm wrestle with Hillbilly. :embarrassed2:

I thought FATBOY was Eric. I guess I could be confused.:grin-square:

One FATBOY plays pool, and another FATBOY used to be pool detective.

On a serious note, Charlie has always been nothing but polite around me. In fact, I saw some instances when he could have gotten angry, and he was cool as a cucumber.

Charlie seemed very nice yesterday. I certainly wouldn't want to get on his bad side especially if I was a little guy like Appleton.

Am I the only one here that doesnt understand a word of the original thread and first post.

I didn't understand it either, but that's HollyWood and he ain't changing so we'll have to put our thinking caps on.

What it all comes down to is, Slime tea in the Everglades always affects the astrological tuna can.

Jimmy, I was watching the match on UStream, when Charlie leaned over and his shirt touched a ball. Darren said something and it all began from there. They are playing cue ball fouls only so it wasn't a foul, but Darren has a right to say something and move the ball back if he wants to. Charlie claimed he never touched anything, and got pretty testy about it. When the volume increased between the players, TD Frank Del Pizo stepped in and calmed them both down. He had to shut them up in fact. They were off and running.

I don't know Frank, but I like the way he handled it, "That's enough, I don't want to hear another word from either one of you." "Stop it right now, both of you!" "One more word and you lose the match." Straight out of the Jay Helfert school of TD'ing. I like this guy already and I don't even know him.

I actually met him in New Jersey at a Skins Billiards Championship for the first time, and I think he told me that he used to be a stand-up comic. I'm not kidding. LOL! :)

Shirt fouls are a big deal everywhere but the U.S. Darren probably thought it was a legitimate foul.

I have met and like both of them. I hope there is no animosity between them.

Whats the point in posting something no one can understand. I thought it meant someone named Mark took their shirt off while playing.

Now we're talking. Hey, if the golfers can do it, then why not the pool players? A player's gotta do what a player's gotta do to make the shot, I say.

In fact, I think it may give the sport of pool a little boost! :p

That is just wrong!!! ... LOL

Professional golfer Henrik Stenson stripped down to his underwear to avoid getting his clothes caked with mud after a wayward tee shot in the opening round of the CA Championship. "For the love of the game," Stenson said, "and for the fans."

Here's an action shot! :grin-square:
