Question for Those Who Ship Cues Internationally

I have been asked in the past to ship international to buyers, I know most Paypal addresses outside of the US are not Confirmed addresses but if one is then how do you track it through USPS? I was told in the past that if you ship outside the US they are unable to track it properly. I know there are alternatives like UPS or Fed Ex but they are super expensive, usually around $125-$150 and USPS is like $30-$40, big difference if your shipping a low end cue.

USPS does provide tracking for international shipments. I believe once the package is overseas the USPS is at the mercy of the local Postal Service to provide the updates.

I always ship USPS Express and have never had a problem. Tracking is always right on key. The Netherlands is the WORST!! I sold a cue about 2 months ago that was $3200 and customs held it for 30 days!! I was freaked!

I have bought many things from USA and i had never any issues of tracking a parcel. FYI overseas buyers prefer USPS not only for low rates but also the local carrier is the State one so you can have a custom free pass cause state employers don't give a dime for what inside a parcel worths unless it is something they are familiar with such as mobiles, laptops etc.

Yes, so ultimately its like a crap shoot. That is what I was told some time ago, I paid for tracking and was told that as soon as it was over there it might be tracked by them or not, that is not too reassuring.

don't worry too much....charge 40$ to the buyer of your cue. Sent the item via usps and insurance the item...give the usps tracking information to your buyer...that's all...
The buyer can track the item via usps or his local post office...it's usually take 1 month for the item from US arrive to my place in Indonesia....and Indonesia is third world country....So, i believe shipping to other country like europe and east asian more cpmfortable and safety..

shipping out of the usa

the big problem
is customs and there taxes
i shipped to taiwan if you insured over 250.00 customs holds on to pachage for ever.
my customers always say dont insure over 250.00 which make me nevous when shipping a 1500.00 cue so i packed cue in black sewer pvc pipe. cost me 68.00 usps express took 2 1/2 days to customer with tracking.
germany if insured over 200.00 from what i understand the customer
almost pays customs tax is matching insurance on the cue.
and customs still held cue for 7 days.
i always try to pack cues very secure.
75.00 for shipping out of usa express usps is normal 45.00 usps priority.
express is safer less time to trash your package.
customs look for ivory too. just saying
good luck

There is an inherent problem with shipping internationally with PayPal payment
Even if the country is on the short list of those that have confirmed addresses, in order to be protected against chargeback disputes, you must be able to provide PayPal with direct online verifiable signature delivery confirmation
The is no USPS method that will provide that
The FedEx and ups methods that do are very expensive
There is no way around this, if your buyer disputes the charge and the seller can't provide PayPal with direct online signature confirmation it is case closed with the seller the loser every single time

Is Canada considered international?
I have always been able to track from the US to Canada with USPS.
Or are you asking out of North America.

There is no USPS method that will produce signature confirmation in a format that PayPal will accept in a chargeback dispute

There is no fool proof way to ship anywhere. Overseas is just a bad idea, to risky.
Use USPS, Fed Ex, UPS, they all are a big risks. Customs is problem is some places, then you have the potiental shady buyer. Paypal is no help at all, if a buyer wants to say never received a package, and want there money refund. It is refunded-ASAP. Then seller is back charged. If you use paypal in USA or anywhere, if the shipping address is not paypal VERIFIED. Do not sell the item, I have learned the hard way. I have done over 3000 deals on ebay and 100+ on AZ.
My opnion!
Thanks
D.
