I woke up to the same in central Louisiana, though probably not quite as heavy. There is probably about 3 inches here, and it is still coming down. It has been a long time since it snowed this much here. Clearly, this is another sign of our impending doom brought about by global warming.

This is what Plano TX looks like with 12 1/2 Inches!

It's beautiful, but it does make a mess. They forecast 28 degrees last night, but it only got down to about 31, so it's really not that bad. If it had reached 28 it would be a different story.

That's a flurry. Imaging waking up with a 5' snow drift against your porch. The snow is piled higher than my car on each side of my driveway.

12 1/2 inches? You mean 2 1/2 inches maybe? No way that's a foot of snow

I've been waking up to that crap for months now...

Seems in Maine we're (currently) the only ones NOT getting snow. And no, I am NOT complaining! Nice for a change.

(Of course the problem is we're quite used to handling that stuff, whereas the southern parts of the country aren't equipped to deal with it, much less know how to drive in it. Good luck folks, be safe. Leave PLENTY of room between cars, you're gonna need it!)

It stopped snowing about 3am this morning and they say it will be mostly melted and gone by this evening... wham-bam-thank ya mam:thumbup:

It looks similar at my house in Frisco. It's definitely a lot for Texas, but nowhere near what I used to get living in Ontario, Illinois, and Colorado.

You know, I didn't go out and measure it. I just repeated what the National Weather Service reported as the official snow fall measured at DFW airport. I wasn't looking for any kind of sympathy or anything.

These are pictures taken at our shop. And yes they are taken today, so i am at work!

Ms. Amanda, may I ask why you are taking pictures of my house????? Did Monica tell you where I live?

12 1/2" of snowfall doesn't mean 12 1/2" of accumulation if the ground is warm - as I'm sure it is in Dallas.
