REFUND DEMANDED for Archer vs. Strickland match!

They had some trouble with the stream at the first during the eight-ball but they got it straightened out and the ten-ball went well.

no i tried to watch the ten ball and after 30 minutes just shut the whole thing off. i hear the ten ball event eventually went well.

I am a big fan of streamed pool, free or pay-per-view. I have watched it grow from its infancy through its toddler years and now its a teenager. I am sure it is not easy to put on an event when you are some what new to the art but everyone is learning as they go.

You can ask the guys that are the best at streaming and I am sure they will tell you what a b!tch it is when the ball is dropped by a factor that may have been out of your control. And yes someone needs to man up and take responsibility even if it is not there fault.

I am certainly not saying that the folks that paid can't be upset and yes I hope there is away of paying everyone back. Having said that I also feel that like any young business there will be mistakes and that is what helps it to grow.

Did they guarantee that the stream would be for the entire match, or did they just say ARCHER STRICKLAND MATCH STREAMED ON PPV.

In legal obligations if no shot was called or people thought it was obvious it doesn't matter, all that is matter is what was on the advertisement or written down and agreed to.

If it said PPV for archer/strickland stream, then you got that.

What you wanted was a no loss, uninterrupted stream on the site specified and you wanted it live and complete from start to finish on the day of play.

$50 isn't that big a loss.

that may be the worst leagal advice i've ever seen. ustream named thier site based on what they would "sell" during a "pay per view". what they delivered was basically a black screen with very little content. in the spirit of "caveat emptor" or buyer beware - ustream is considered a widely used, fairly reputable site for providing streaming video. as consumer i did all of the homework i could and had reason to believe the content purchased would be delivered. it was not. they took fair market price, i am owed fair market goods. either a refund or replay of the content. i have recieved rebates and discounts from direct tv when i was not able to view portions of the nfl package. not blacked out games, those are precluded due to nfl rules, but an interuption of service due to problems on thier end. this is no different.

well

Let me just throw this out there .I run my own business , some weeks $50 seems like alot and especially to throw at a stream that did not deliver. If people are that upset and you want future business and good will it never hurts to apologize and work out a good resolve even if it means a refund.Had no idea this stream was $50 WOW thats more than a HD UFC fight oh well it was Earl ....Just another reason I am glad I got out of the streaming deal. Oh sorry $25 my bad

Disappointed

I appreciate what they were trying to do, but it was extremely frustrating and disappointing to try to sit through. I don't think it's right for them to keep everyone's money when we were not able to watch even 1/5 of the event. I have submitted a request for a refund through PayPal.

When you put yourself in a position to make a profit you have to accept that you are risking taking a loss. That's business 101.

I really feel terrible for everyone involved. The people who were expecting a profit as well as the viewers who had their day ruined.

With all respect I think the legaleze is besides the point. It is quite obvious that viewers were paying to actually see the entire stream.

Having said that, didn't this just start today? I mean give the guy a chance to make it right. For all you know he's been at the venue all day busting hump trying to make it work. I doubt he's sitting on a beach in the Caymans laughing at all the suckers.

I do agree though that anyone who wishes a refund is entitled to it.

I was preparing the statements the streaming company was providing to the content provider. The match provides the content and outsources to the streaming company.

My point being whoever paid for the PPV streaming services will be an underdog in a fight unless a strong customer service team is prepared for this and willing to work out a solution, instead of sell out the content provider.

Streamers like Vonage claim to have great prices but their customer service is lousy and when shortages occur the price of their business becomes clear why it is so cheap.

I'm sorry you guys had such a bad time with the stream.

I noticed in a few of my other threads, there were some people that were giving the impression that I was in some way, involved in this production in some capacity. That maybe I could help them in some way. I just wanted to say what my role in all this was. I was simply asked if I could make a behind the scenes type of video for the first couple of days. I fulfilled my obligation with that, and that was the extent of my involvement.

The guys at Drifters have a really nice place and Bob with airart1 is a really cool guy that loved being a part of this.

I hope everything works out for everyone.

I NEVE bought this ppv,but if i did i would be just as hot as you,You are 100% right,i hope all of you guys that paid get your money back!

I also want a Refund, pretty simiple just reverse the paypal payment. I have spent money on almost every pay preview match that has come along and never asked for anything.

I am really glad to see the quality responses posted to this thread.
I am far from being well off, yet what bothers me more is the lack of consideration and professionalism in dealing with the problem.

Whether this is considered accidental or negligent, the one thing that can make up for it is how it is dealt with. It is the end result that can either leave you satisfied or leave you with a bitter taste in your mouth.

Right now I feel like I've been sucking on a lemon. People now-a-days do not take any accountability anymore. I order a lot of ppv mma, and there have been times where I have lost the picture for a period of time and they credited me for the event.

I know people need to make a living (which is why I didn't ***** at the high price of this match). But you need to stand behind your product, especially if your name is all over it. Mike @ miketv can take his mike and stick it up his a**. Mike, if you are reading this you are a coward and a very poor businessman. You failed to even acknowledge the problems with the ppv.

I hope this is the beginning of the end for your bs streams and I think it is safe to say that people that paid for this ppv will never spend another dollar on anything you or ustream are invoved in.

I am also disputing this with paypal and I hope others here that paid for this bs are doing the same.

I didn't notice the option to pay for this match via c/c. I may be wrong but It leaves me to believe the reason for this is that c/c charges are much easier to dispute.

Is there not any chance of mikeTV subrogating any claims/issues to Ustream, since as they have stopped his production from profiting due to their inefficiency?

Everyone gets there refund, and the people meant to profit still can if they prove they lost profit at Ustreams expense.

If I'm talking trash I'm sorry, but I'm just asking the question incase there's a good outcome for both sides.

I didn't purchase the stream, I hasten to add.

I thought about this scenario too. I like the idea.

Have you ever heard of Filing a Dispute with your Credit Card Company with in 30 days of the close of your billing CYCLE. Because you did not get what you paid for. HINT.

This is the most coherent post I've ever seen from you :)

I usually try to stay out of things like this. Have you personally spoken to MIke and asked for a refund? Direct communication with the parties envolved will in my opinion, provide you with much better service than trying to stir things up on AZB. Just my opinion, it is still a free country for now so incite an Internet riot if you want to.

I PM'D him on the chat and ask about a refund. He said no. The trouble was on Ustreams end and he had nothing to do with the money end of it. Other guys on the chat keep telling that the feed wasn't working and he kept saying it's working here. Like he didn't believe them. I'm filing with Paypal. As far as Mike I wouldn't pi$$ in his mouth if his guts was on fire.

I wanted to see this match so bad but, thank gawd I had to work. I feel sorry for all you guy's who paid and had nothing but problems. Thing that stinks is, isn't TVMike banned from AZB right now so he can't say what happened nor you can't PM him either???
