I've been hoping Charlie would change his mind, hence I hadn't posed a most obvious upcoming question... I just feel for the man, but am understanding more and more that Charlie does not want any sympathy - he's made his peace and now wants peace.

What would a wise businessman do with this cue to begin mending the Titanic gash?

I am an eternal optimist and even though I have poked and prodded EW, I honestly believe Eddie can come out of this with a pulse - a faint one, but a pulse remaining on AZ.

What should/could he do with the cue, assuming Charlie sticks to his guns and wants nothing else to do with this?

I got the shafts back today, and the cue will go out Priority Mail sometimes tomorrow. Then I can shoot the finger at this deal and say good riddance to this very unpleasant event, that I in no way, shape, form, or fashion created.

If Eddie was even half a man, he would refuse to accept the cue back (since you MORE than paid for it), or at the very least he would send you your $700 back, enough extra to cover the shaft work and ivory ferrules for both shafts-$200?, AND the $150 (cash this time) for your troubles. Don't anybody hold your breathe, I don't want you dyin'.

I still hope you reconsider Charlie. You are just rewarding and reinforcing Eddie's behavior if you send it back, and your actions will make you directly responsible for increasing the likelihood that he does this again to somebody else, because it paid off in spades with you. Don't let him have that hold over you. Don't let him win over you anymore. Don't show him that it actually pays to do bad busniness and then make ridiculous and insulting claims about who is out money.

If you just have to give the thing away, give it to somebody that is deserving. Otherwise just recoop what you can for yourself, on principle, even though you don't need it.

I don't know if you are serious or not, but assuming you are, kudos. However, Charlie has repeatedly said he doesn't want money, THE cue, or anything else from this. He wants peace and he has stated exactly how he will achive that peace. Charlie is not a "hand-out" guy.

It was not intended to be a hand-out.

I consider it a gesture of appreciation for the conduct of a "stand-up guy" who has contributed muchly to the billiard industry. I know he doesn't need the money because he works for his money just like most of us here.

I just don't think he should be the one to take a loss of this transaction.

The Karma given off by this cue must have greater power than an Atomic bomb. I'm just like Charlie I wouldn't want to own this cue. EW could be the perfect man to be the owner. The jinx of the Wheat cue. "play with a Wheat an always get beat"

Hopefully something good will come of this mess. Maybe Charlie, or Eddie when he receives the cue, will decide to give it away to someone in the military, is an aspiring student, etc, since its already paid for.

Wheat Crisp simply does not have the money to refund nor was it ever likely for him to do the right thing when it briefly was in his hands. The marvels of Methamphetamine. From shows I've seen it's an expensive habit. No wonder time took on a mind of it's own(Meth Psychosis), points got up and ran off of the cue(Blurred vision), measurements couldn't be taken correctly(trembling hands), shafts got turned into water bongs instead of shipped(just simply being dumb), humidity and wind speed became factors in Florida(also known as paranoia), and every time he talks it just sounds like ass(meth mouth). Apparently it just isn't only a Midwest issue, the Southeast is obviously plagued as well. 2 words poor Wheat Thin, Twelve Step
 
What a fvckin crock of shit. Strange things are afoot at the local circle k folks. He was just moved from 804th to 600ish. Foul play is going on, bigtime and that's just wrong. We need some of the heavy dogs, peeps in the top 10 to take care of this. I have no idea how he could move 200 + forward in 5-10 minutes. I saw it happen, I call burgleflickle. Repped out or I'd do my part
 
Instead of red-repping him why don't you guys give him negative iTrader reports. Seems like that would be more effective... or am I missing someting?

Put me down for $20 towards Charlie too. I don't care if he needs the money or not. He's a stand up guy from what I know...and I just think it's a wonderful gesture. The billiards community and "kind gesture" don't always go together. Stuff like this helps remind me that there are still a bunch of good people involved with all aspects of the game. I was willing to head things up myself...but Arnot, if you'd like to do it...that's fine as well.
 
I call shenanigans on buckwheat's rep being back up to 11 greenies as well. Either there are some serious EW sympathizers hiding in the weeds...or some serious BS is afoot. Hopefully his red reps aren't being "cancelled" or removed by any admins.
