FTR, this is exactly how I feel. Thank you Willie for putting the way I feel about this entire mess into words.

BlackJack....I don't even know you and I feel sorry for you. After all the unsolicited support you offered and to be treated this way is an absolute crying dead shame.

Something is direly wrong some where.....just absolutely wrong.

At least Charlie got "something".....but then again, I think everyone who has read or will read these threads got something also!

Those friends who say Eddie is trying to make good of what he's got better call him and have a LOOOOOONG talk with him.

Wow, just wow. I thought the cue looked like it had 6-points, Mr. Wheat uses his own counting system, currency and measurement system, sounds like he is in his own country or at least his own world because he is not playing by the same set of rules that everyone else is.

Wow, just...................wow.

I think ol' Dave summed it up quite nicely.

Actually, this is a great idea. I am gonna have some Crawbucks printed up. So, if I am gambling, I can pay off in my own currency. They are redeemable the next time I play a guy. He can pay me back with them. If he ever doesn't have Crawbucks, though, I will take cash.

I just checked todays market. The current rate of exchange is two Crawbucks for one Jaybuck.
Boy, I can buy a lot of stuff at your store. ;)

Buy a cue from EDDIE WHEAT & get 7 months free storage and your cue is guaranteed to grow by at least an inch. Sounds like a late night T.V. add:D

This reminds me of a saying I once heard in a pool room " Miss it by an inch, same as missing by a mile"

Sounds like ediie did BOTH!

Now that right there is one amazing bit of knowledge.
A "Gift Certificate" redeemable at Wheat Cues.

Eddie, I think Charlie has made it perfectly clear that he will never do business with you again and to send him that calling it a "partial refund" is about the most insulting thing you could have done.
And I bleieve it was planned, intentional act on your part.
A weasel is a weasel and actions speak so much louder than words.
You have proven beyone any doubt you live by the code of screw others before they screw you and believe everyone will swallow your lies and twisted truths.
I for one, was a supporter, and really wanted to think there was some good in you.
I had hoped to see you turn this thing around and go on to become respected for your craftsmanship.
This latest turn of events has removed any and all doubt as to your true nature as a person with little character or moral values.
It matters not how well you make a cue, how cheap you sell it for, or how thick you spread on the BS.
It is over for you Eddie ... No one here has any respect for you.

I am ashamed of myself for being so wrong about someone like you and thinking you would, in the end, do the right thing.
It is just not in your nature and you have, with this one post, stomped out any spark of hope that others here were misjudging you.

This is the last I will ever say about you here on the forum as you have proven to be totally unworthy of any respect or acknowledgment as a cue maker. :(

excellent post!

added to your Rep!

thank you,
smokey

I feel for you man ....

This joker just couldn't keep his mouth shut, even after stand up guy like Mr. Edwards wanted to put a closure tot the issue and move on. His best bet would've been to just STFU, make cues and let his work do the talking for him.

Once again, I can't understand this psychic behavior of starting another thread where he knows he is gonna get slammed.

Also I DID enclose partial refund of 150.00 gc it's in the white envelope inside the very end of the box on the side w/ the duct tape !

Very Sincerely, Eddie Wheat

That $150 Wheat Cues gift certificate just killed me. I got a $200 laugh out of it.

Seriously Eddie, did you think that turd would float?

A gift certificate from Wheat Cues? Why didn't you just give him a gift certificate for a free kick in the nuts instead? Because that's what your offer is.

The trainwreck continues........

Wow. Charlie I suggest you send EW that 150 in wheat bucks for a 29in shaft. the worst that could happen is you never get it. Of course if a shaft cost more then that then I wouldnt even consider it. I actualy kind of stood up for EW giving him the benefit before but damn. This guy cant get out of his own way.

LOL, lack of reading comprehension has pushed the PHEONIX (common name: yellow bellied loon) to the brink of extinction.

I can't think of how many times with my business I "ate" money just to make a client happy. Personally, in my opinion, over 1/2 of those times I thought I was right.... but I always put on my happy face and fell on the sword....making sure the person received the value they expected.

I did an event for a company one time for about $5gs and the recording didn't come out as planned. I tried to offer them a % off for the problem and they responded by saying--- well, why pay anything if I don't have a perfect recording? Good point...$5k off your bill (even though I paid everything out of my pocket). True story. They're one of my oldest clients today -- and have since made 50x as much from them as what I ate that first time.

There was another time when I designed a network for a non-profit and I forgot to add the cost of the computer monitors into my cost of sale. I couldn't go back and ask for the money since they paid with a grant, so $200 x 15 or so, out of my pocket. I was so pissed that day, I nearly cried. However, I made the error-- no one to be mad at other than myself.

My point is...every single business owner screws up. Sometimes, the screw ups come in waves. Every so often, it's a mega fvck-up. I've had a lot of them. The same way you can't get good at pool without missing balls--- you can't get good at business without f-ups. It's not the f-ups that determine whether or not you're successful in the future.... it's how you handle them.

My business mentor gave me the line..."They don't care how much you know...until they know how much you care." He probably stole it from some book he read along the way and passed it to me... but I always lived by it. Caring is asking the questions no one else asks, doing the little things that no one else does, and taking care of the client when they're not happy---even if you don't think you did anything wrong. It's not what you think, it's what THEY think that counts. Always under promise and over deliver...especially with time frames.

I've never made a cue in my entire life. If I were a cue maker and this was my customer, I'd send a "sorry" card with the client's original check enclosed and tell him to keep the cue as a token of my thanks and to ask for "another try" in the future. Eating the cost on that one cue would prob result in 50 orders waiting from people who read the happy client's post on here. Just my two-cents.

Is anyone else suprised that Eddie still has green rep? After everything he has done I find it hard to believe. I guess that is proof to how beneficial the rep system is.
