Regarding the Harriman thread and my banishment

Danny Harriman posts (or did post) here under his real name.
Please post your real name and location so I can do a background check on you. I will only post what is real - nothing slanderous. Nothing I post will be so because of ill will - just the truth so everyone knows everything about you. I am sure that you will have no argument for that since you are 'manning up' for your previous post that got you banned.

Handsumm, in the original thread, which I believe was deleted, you said that if Danny came on AZ and told his story to clear the air, that you would apologize to him. Mr. Harriman ended up doing just exactly that. So, do you you still intend to apologize?

I just wanted to remind you, because I was surprised to see it missing from your original post.

AFAIK,

that happened after he was banned, and then the thread was deleted. So how would he know danny came on and explained?

Well... you can still lurk on AZ if you're not logged in, so they can't stop you from reading if you've been banned. Handsumm's original post implied that he read the post because he paraphrased (or quoted) something else that Danny said. ;)

I believe in second chances too, but I also believe in humility and admitting when I was wrong, or at least staying silent. :)

LOL. OK, good point; maybe that wasn't the most accurate way of putting it. Let's say this, after reading the title of this thread, I was disappointed that it focused on what everyone else did wrong. I would like to think that if I got banned for something, I would reflect on what happened and try to understand why I got 86'ed.

However, that attitude is probably why I've never been banned in the first place. Anyway, to answer your question more directly, after reading everything else that was said in the original post, I wasn't really surprised to see the apology missing.

The only thing I can think of for which I should apologize is dredging up Danny's past record on here in this forum, and yes, for that I am, of course, sorry.

And Blackjack, for you to say that I was taking a shot at him is unjustifiable. I stated I don't even know him, and that I give him the same benefit of the doubt about his convictions as I would have liked people to give me (even though I did not). Why would anyone take a stab at someone for whom they could care less about. Fame on AZ billiards? Obviously I got that, right. I have no respect for anyone who can say what my intentions were in spite of what I have already stated.

It is very apparent that I couldn't give a shit what any of you think about me. It is nice for some to back me up, and I already know that those who do know me, know that I sometimes just say things that should probably be left alone, but that I am not a jealous, deceitful or malicious person in any way.

I want to see no harm done to anyone on here, and that is why even though I have been called a douchebag...a dick...and many other hatefull things, I continue to try to be the better man and not engage in a flame war.

let it go you all say....well it has been over a month for you all who had to read through all of this garbage, but I haven't had that luxury thanks to the wonderful double standard here on AZ.

So for those who want to continue to post hateful, meaningless, slander on here, go right ahead. It is very clear that it is tolerated as long as you aren't a well known champion caliber player.

Micah,

There is a big difference between "your intentions" and the "recklessness consequences" of the information that you publicized here. That thread and that information had hundreds of responses and was viewed by many people - needlessly. It was none of anybody's business, and you made it public knowledge. The only person that forced Danny to have to go through that was you. Nobody else. I don't care why you did it, or what you're reasoning was in posting that initially, but after you saw the damage it was causing Danny (as well as your own reputation) you should have rescinded your initial post and attached a sincere apology directly to Danny.

You are still refusing to do that, and now you are beginning to defect this nonsense towards myself and others that have expressed our disgust with your actions and your excuses. I don't care if you respect me or not, that is not the issue - the issue is that you should have some respect for this forum, the members, and you should value your own reputation. Why you don't value your reputation is beyond me.

If this would have been your first post back and nothing but your post, I think you would have gotten more of the sympathy you are grabbing for. Finally, you have said you are sorry. We all make mistakes - the bigger man will own up to them & show true apology for it. Craving self pity for what has been done to you (whatever that may be or whatever you think that may be) shows selfishness once again. The same selfishness that you had when you originally posted about DH, not realizing the effect it might have on him. This should be about DH - not you. Unfortunately, that is human nature - but a poor nature at that.

I won't get banned because you have given me permission to post it. I missed your offense and that post.

Also, Danny no longer posts here - along with a few other pros - so obviously THEY DONT FEEL SAFE and this double standard you claim doesn't work. You got unbanned, hell you even changed your name. Danny was never banned but in the sense has been because now he is open for attacks anytime he would post here. If you ever met Danny (not sure that you have), you would know that he is very genuine. Whether he can forgive you, that is up to him to decide. (thinking about it - I think Danny now has another name on here, but doesn't post near as much as he did before)

This is the type of thing that I am trying to understand...this person obviously did not read the original thread, doesn't know me...says I am "slagging" Danny when I have REPEATEDLY stated that I have no ill will or hatred......

Why is THIS type of garbage aloud?

I have not called one person a name. I have not told any untruths. I stated something that shouldn't have been brought up, and subsequently apologized for it after being Banned for a month, and now this guy...

Why do I have so many green thingies..well before my "slip-up" I received a lot of rep points from others who have realized that I provided thoughtful insight to questions and comments regarding the game of pool. Situations, layouts, stories, etc. I was an active forum poster who engaged in many countless discussions and apparently, most were well-received.

Got any other negatives comments to say? I am sure they will keep coming.
