Great Post!

Court records are PUBLIC not private. If such records are relevent to pool they should be on Main...if not on NPR. Anything else is simply censorship...which should be banned...not relevent public information.

Is Jay going to be banned if he sues Bobbitt and posts a copy of the Complaint on the forum?

So do we also need to burn books, newpaper articles, magazine articles...posts from other forums?

Jim

I'm not posting anything about criminal or civil proceedings against Bobbit, other than to say that I may have done so. I see no reason to put all the gory (and boring) details on here.

Everyone looks when they see a car wreck, but some want to see death and blood, others hope it turns out ok for everyone involved.

He comes out of retirement to make this post......LOL
I know you have made a few posts recently so "retirement" may not be accurate, more like hibernation.

Good to see you back Eric.

Ya got me, lol!

I had a great time drinking with Dave this weekend, I just had to F with him a lil.

Actually, I still surf AZB, miss going back and forth with many posters, but...somethings i.e. the moderation and some of the screw balls that also hang here just doesnt make it the best way for me to waste time at work

So, KTown, whne you coming to NYCtown to cash in your free beer voucher?

Eric >has free beer vouchers

I'll have to take you up on that at the Open, I don't see a trip to NYC in my immediate future.

When possible, we can and do edit or delete individual messages as opposed to entire threads..but because of the quoting of those messages..we would sometimes have to go through a ton of messages in order to edit them all.

Where we can we will edit or delete individual posts.

Thanks for your understanding and support.

Why not get a couple extra mods? Other forums I belong to, NPR, have a mod for each particular section. I don't see why that couldn't be done. Some will do it for free.

Also, instead of deleting whole threads, go ahead and edit the offensive post(s), lock the thread, or whatever needs to be done, then move it to section that only paid members can access.

What does being a paid member have to do with accessing "objectionable" and locked threads?

Flex

1. Keeps the riff raff/trolls out.
2. Generates revenue for the site.

It would not keep them off of the site but off of the locked threads. It makes them register and pay for the priviledge.

Chucklez made it quite clear (in the part of his post you yourself quoted, no less!) - sometimes that's more work than it's worth. Especially for folks not getting paid for that work.

Interesting thread.

Kevin Trudeau's legal problems have been posted on here several times and it seems to be okay since he is supposed to be a member of the pool community. I didn't see the Eddie Wheat thread so I cannot say anything about it. More and more these days AZBilliards is becoming a "tree house" where some people can get away with things...and some cannot. I am just glad these headaches are not MY responsibility to deal with. The whole issue of money and selling things brought this out. Guess its time to put all the sale/buy threads in a "PAY" section, instead of doing it for free. If you are selling anything pool related it MUST be in there. Then it's "buyer beware" and if anyone has criminal records/ shady dealings/ etc you can blame yourself over it.
