Dear Mr. Wilson,

I have read your new sticky thread in "Wanted For Sale". I understand and overwhelmingly agree with AZ's business to limit any lawsuits that may occur from disgruntled individuals that want to name everyone in a lawsuit. No matter how frivolous, you still have to respond to them and that indeed is a financial burden. Not responding can lead to a summary judgment even if your are 100% innocent.

As a cue maker I would like to ask you a favor. Would AZ consider making a new category for us cue makers to showcase our cues available without listing prices? Maybe it could be called "Cue Maker Showcase Gallery". If this could be accomplished then interested parties could PM the Cue Maker or email them about price and availability. The main thing would be to have a rule that bans any pricing on the forum. All sales or expressed warrantees would be corresponded independent of any association with AZ Billiards.

I realize that "Cue and Case Gallery" can serve as that function now but I truly believe that the Azers that use that forum category for showing their collections, cues, and case would not be burdened by a bunch of cue makers switching from Wanted For Sale to their forum.

If a "Cue Makers Showcase Gallery" can be station next to ask the Cue Maker, then I believe no one would be burdened, Cue Makers can have a discrete area within this forum to show their stuff and AZ Billiards can be out of any lawsuit.

There is one thing I know for sure is that if the rule was "no pricing allowed", us cue makers would embrace such a rule and would make sure no one violated it as we would not want such a privileged location be subject to rules violations.

Just food for thought.

+1

I would hope the posters showing their work in said proposed forum would be limited to those who somehow contribute to Ask the Cuemaker and Cue Machinery and Supplies.

This question is probably better addressed to Jerry Forsyth or Mike Howerton, the owners of AZ. Mr Wilson is a moderator.

A link to your new cues for sale on fleaBay is allowed in the wanted/FS section, but I'm not sure if a link back to a cue maker's web site for the sale is allowed or not...

JMO....

Why don't you buy a banner ad, if you want to sell cues here. AZ gets a lot of exposure, and it seems almost everyone wants the FREE exposure. Why not give a little back? Then post in the gallery, and they will come.

Jerry has explicitly stated in the new rules that AZ sponsors are not absolved from the "no new product sales" policy. I am in favor of giving back to this community though. As you can see from the "club member" graphic below my user ID, I pay a yearly membership fee to participate in this forum. Unfortunately, I am in the minority.

I realize that, but unless it's changed, I'm pretty sure they can post a new cue in the gallery, then recieve p.m.'s about wether it's for sale.

I'm not a club member, for a few reasons, and yes you can call me a hypocrite, but then again, I don't really sell anything either.

How does one become a "club member"? I'd like to give some back to AZ as well..

Hey Randy
Hope this helps you out sir. At the top of the screen click on ''Links''
then under ''user control panel'' click on ''support azb'' this will give you 3 options to choose from 1 month membership, 3 months, 6 months, 12 month membership. Hope this helps.

Club membership

Go to "User CP" and then go to the listing on the left, at the bottom, you will
"subscriptions". I think to post on AZ a club memebership should be mandatory.

just joined myself

hell, i did not even know you could join. i think to post or sell you should be required to be a member. having a place to sell, exchange info and just plain bull sh!!, 35 bucks a year is cheap.

Two closed fist knuckle bumps first, then light back hand slap of hands, then followed by firm grip handshake. I hope I don't get banned for revealing the secret. Maybe I should have PM'ed it.

Brent,
Haven't seen any new cues of yours for awhile. Any new ones coming soon?
