Rest in peace, Grady.

Never got the chance to meet him, but I learned so much from him with his articles, tapes, and work at Accu-stats.

R.I.P. Grady!!

You solidified yourself not only in the world of pool but also in the hearts and minds of those who engulfed themselves in the game we all love, much like yourself. Your contributions did not go unnoticed and are very much appreciated. Another legend has left us although you will always live in spirit!

I will never forget the excitement you brought to the room...rest in peace!

R.I.P. Grady

It was a pleasure knowing you, old rounder...See you again, probably sooner than later.

Goodbye Grady - my one and only professional "backer". Your brand of HEART will be hard to find in the modern pool world.

As I said in the other thread you have mentored me in more ways than you knew of. You were a pool idol of mine and will always remain so. As long as I live I am certain that there will be plenty of opportunities in pool to share a Grady story as there are Grady stories for every occasion in pool.

Bet High and Kiss Low Baby!!! You were and always will be an original.

Your fan and friend,

John
This is one of the only times im sure i agree with John and very well said Mr.Barton.I really always enjoyed when Grady came through my area and stayed with me and also did exhibitions at my poolroom.Grady tought me some of the finer points in 14.1 and I am truly grateful for that and honered to say he was my friend.
Well I dont know who is the first player in heaven to play Grady but they have their hands full matching up with him.

Thank you Professor

I don't think any single individual to-date short of Pat Fleming from Accustats and Eddie Robin has personally contributed more to our currently available pool & billiard knowledge then Grady... while many of the old-timers took their secrets and life experience to the grave... Grady tried to share them with everybody he came in contact with and through his extensive number of videos he compiled over the years...

Thanks for sharing Grady...

Grady...

:frown:

Your knowledge and details with your commentary on Accustats VHS Videos will always be treasured..
Your colorful and adventurous life will always be apart of Pool History..
It is a pleasure to have you in the pool world..
Love You and Thank You....

The Professor...

Grady was a true American pocket billiard icon. He now joins an elite group
of legends that will always be remembered for their masterfull skill, their spirit
and character and, most of all, their contribution to the great game we all love.

It's definitely a sad day in the pool and billiard community, the knowledge that's leaving us in a great spirit is hard to replace.

Another true legend of the game will enter the ultimate pool room and will be well received; they'll all have to step aside for a real player!

It's with great sadness that I give my most heartfelt sympathy to Grady's family.
RIP old buddy, save me a spot at the billiard table with Willie and Jake Jr.

Respectfully;
Bill Smith
