Revised Magnificent 7 event giving it a shot.

Hey all, since my last post asking for advice I have been brain storming and trying to come up with a way to make this happen. I am in talks with a couple of potential sponsors that want to help make this happen too but before I get too far into it with them I need to see if it can actually work or not.

The format stays the same as the original press release here on AZB the big difference is the price. Thanks to the sponsors it looks like we can do this for $799 per person. http://www.azbilliards.com/2000storya.php?storynum=7932

The sponsors will be named if this can be filled but I need to get a idea from all of you if I can still make it happen first.

Now you're rockin' and rollin' . I know the venue is set, but putting it in a dense population area like New York City, or a major destination like Las Vegas would help too. This looks like a great and affordable weekend.

This is a great event with an even better price. Kudos to you and your sponsors for helping this to come to fruition.

Hi Mark;

Is the new price of $799 taking the place of the previously listed $2499 for the "VIP" package?

BTW, BIG kudos to you for your efforts in trying to put this event together.

Well Mark you are now at a Price Point, $799.00 that is more realistic for many, and I think you have a very good chance of pulling this event off now!
 
Kickin, yes the $799 would take the place of the $2,499. A big drop in price as you can see so we shall see how many takers we can get now. I must have this filled not with the lower price especially.
I have been working on this for a week now and I am a little amazed myself that we got to this point.
 
just a silly thought, but $800 is easier to carry that $799. All those singles makes me feel like a stripper.

My bad Cleary, Price is officially back up to $800. I hope that does not affect the outcome. If it does I am going to blame you :)

LOL! You should read the thread entitled "One Dollar." It's enlightening.

In fact, I'd love to have you contribute your thoughts on the topic of that thread. I would like to learn how people from all facets of the pool world feel about advancing professional pool. Any ideas to the thread would be great. :)

For now I am keeping the sponsors names out of it just in case this still don't work. I do not want their names involved with a failed event. Once we know its a success They will be all over the place along with my thanks and all concerned thanks.

I will be cutting off the sign up time very soon so as to give everyone a chance to make arrangements if needed. If you have any interest please call me or email me at 480-612-7732 or email cantrillmark@yahoo.com thanks
 
I have just designed my Keith McCready shirt. 8.0 is on the front and his face and "Got Earthquake" on the back. 8.0 means the Ricter scale he is measured at.

LOL thats good. I think you need to add after the 8.0 "Its like a nightmare" lets sell em at events. I will see if I can get McCready to sign each of them.

Its something I want to do and of course The Earthquake himself gets a lions share of the profit. If you would like to get involved I am sure we can work it out but I think it will be a deal where Keith will sign lets say 100 of them and number each one as a limited edition. Other like shirts could be sold also though. Hey it may be fun and pay for a trip to Valley Forge :) Its all about the $$ to get them made in the first place.

I'm seriously thinking about it, but I'm having shoulder surgery in a week and have to see about the recovery time. I will email you for cutoff dates.
