Rip Danny Diliberto

RIP Danny. I was fortunate enough to get hang around him quite a bit at the Golden 8 Ball in Phoenix where he was the house pro along with owner David Lee. Always very nice.

Very sad. I visit his matches and commentary on Accu-Stats videos. One of the legends of the game. RIP.

All of the pool world lost when Danny passed. One more of the greats gone and one of the last of the era. \

There are some great photos of Danny on the web spanning his life. Wish I could have met him. He will be missed.

Yeah, only a few BCA hall of famers who were Danny's playing contemporaries come to mind. Two 80-something BCA Hall of Famers that I can think of are Ray Martin and Dallas West. The 70-something BCA Hall of Famers that come to mind are Mike Sigel, Nick Varner Jim Rempe, Pat Fleming, and Allen Hopkins.

Each time we lose one of the game's legends, it hurts, but let's revel in those that remain.

Buffalo Danny. Played him 9 ball I think in Florida the winter of 69-70. Interesting guy. I had no idea who he was at the time and wondered why he kept wanting to switch the game to one pocket or 14.1. Very much an old school guy in the best sense of the word. RIP Danny. Can anybody verify that he was living in Florida, or at least passing through at the time?
