RIP Tom Whittaker aka MonsterMash

Yes, very sad news hearing about this tonight. Thoughts and prayers to his family and friends. He knew a lot of folks in the cue world :-(

Very sad to hear
RIP Tom

I know Tom worked around Paul Drexlers shop once and awhile.
I felt like I knew him

Extremely sad news
My condolences to his family and friends
Wow

Just found out via Facebook he passed away... he was a young guy to....

JV,
Thanks for the note. Sorry to hear this terrible news.
I did an AZ cue deal with Tom, and later on met him at the Super Billiards Expo.
He was great to speak with, and young, as you said.
I will have his family and friends in my thoughts and prayers.

I am stunned.

I met Tom through Paul Drexler and we shared an almost identical taste in cues. There are more than a few cues I own because of my exposure to them through Tom.

Tom was quite a bit younger than me. May he rest in peace. Wow.

R.I.P. Tom. Very sad news indeed. Tom and I had some differences of opinion, and we were both very strong willed and vocal about them to each other. But in the end, we always gave each other a big hug at the SBE, and would have some laughs. He certainly had a good heart. He will be missed.

may he rest in peace.

we got a couple deals and shared lots of opinions.

I admire his passion for pool, cues, bikes and photography.

I am in total shock, he is way too young.

I met Tom in 1994 and quickly became close friends. I talked him into going to the Hopkins Super Billiards Expo in March of 1995, it changed both of our lives forever. A lot has changed since then. We traveled all over to visit pool rooms, Tom had quite a talent for networking. I miss the long gone days with a best friend for over 20 years.

R.I.P Tom !! What happened to S.J. Dick the HOF one pocket player that was always talking shit and rude and obnoxious. Did he pass away. I haven't seen him on here in 8 months or so.

You could always start a three about him instead of hijacking this nice one.

Met Tom at the Expo sometime ago...nice person and way to young to leave this earth. RIP sir.

Is San Jose Dick still with us ?
I heard Tom was facing some terrible cancer treatments the oddfs were 8 to 1 that he wouldn't survive.

Imagine the strength it takes to face a situation like that

Kind words , your experience with Tom mirrors my friendship with John O'Neil even the year of the SBE. Sorry for your loss.

To quote the late great W C Fields - a man's lucky to leave this world alive.

Sorry to hear the news. Condolences to friends and family.
