O'Sullivan was disrespectful - Selby :

We tune in to view Ronnie 'Rocket' O'Sullivan because we don't know if he's in 'Devil Mode' , Genius Mode' or 'Crazy Mode' , he's just Box Office .

True story .

I went to the shop when it looked like Mark 'Nosferatu The Vampyre' Selby was heading for a 16 V 14 lead and when I got home my son said he bet £10 on Ronnie O'Sullivan to win the title but he was cursing and swearing at the TV when Ronnie was smashing the balls .

Next up for Eurosports Snooker pin up playboy is Kyren 'The Warrior' Wilson .

Ronnie O’Sullivan makes U-turn on full-time return after World Snooker Championship w

"Ronnie O’Sullivan looks like he will stick to his reduced schedule of tournaments next season after winning his sixth World Championship title on Sunday night. The Rocket downed Kyren Wilson 18-8 at the Crucible to claim the richest prize in the game, pocketing £500,000 and going one world title away from Stephen Hendry’s record of seven. Before the tournament, the 44-year-old had made plans to play in every event over the next couple of years, putting an end to his schedule in recent seasons that has seen him play just a handful of tournaments. ‘I do think for the next two years I might just focus and play in every event I can possibly play in,’ O’Sullivan said on Instagram. ‘Give it one last shot and see if I can get my game to a level where I’m confident of winning.’

However, it appears that Crucible success may have fulfilled that goal already, and while he fancies a few more events in China, we may not see the Rocket more regularly in the UK. ‘I think the key is to play more tournaments in China because coming towards the end of my career and that’s a great place to ply your trade,’ O’Sullivan told Eurosport.

Ronnie O'Sullivan might be among snooker's older gunslingers, but the world champion shows no signs of slowing down.

O’SULLIVAN: I’M NOT THE PLAYER I WAS

The six-times Crucible winner averaged 14.8 seconds in his 4-1 win over world number 82 Jamie O'Neill in the first round of the Northern Ireland Open and weighed in with 17.7 seconds against Thepchaiya Un-Nooh in the last 16, who boasted 16.9 seconds in losing 4-2 to the Rocket.
"I felt quite slow," he said after downing O'Neill.
I'VE GOT QUITE A QUICK BRAIN I SUPPOSE AND MY POSITIONAL PLAY IS DECENT SO I DON'T HAVE TO WALK THAT FAR TO THE NEXT BALL.
O'Sullivan has an overall average shot time of 17.97 this season just behind Un-Nooh's 17.92.
World number one Judd Trump comes in at 19.26 over the campaign. Defending champion Trump meets Scott Donaldson in the opening quarter-final as he chases a third successive Northern Ireland title with O'Sullivan, who has lost 9-7 to Trump in the previous two finals, facing Ding Junhui, who defeated John Higgins 4-1 in the last 16 at the Marshall Arena in Milton Keynes.

"I'm as fast now as I was as a kid, the other day I was on 14 seconds a shot," said O'Sullivan, who famously made the sport's fastest 147 in five minutes and eight seconds at the 1997 World Championship. "I'm not as good as I was, but still fast.
I PLAY SNOOKER MORE AS A HOBBY. I PRACTISED LAST WEEK, I DID ABOUT 20 HOURS, WHICH I HADN'T DONE SINCE I WAS 17 OR 18.
"At my age, I want to tick over. I just love playing snooker. I think you have to find ways of loving it."

Six-times world finalist Jimmy 'Whirlwind' White concludes that O'Sullivan is still the game's ultimate speed merchant.
"He's still the fastest player in the world, I think he was 17 or 18 seconds when he was younger," commented White."

They dont call him 'The Rocket' for no reason folks !:p:D(y)

..........and no shot clock needed (and at the same time no big deal when a player takes his time in a difficult spot). Snooker is the tougher game in terms of consistency (of mind and of stroke) but I'm never convinced by those who call for shorter and shorter shot clocks in pool (which requires more thinking than snooker).

NORTHERN IRELAND OPEN SNOOKER 2020 – RONNIE O’SULLIVAN ON DRAGGING OUT DEAD FRAMES

Ronnie O’Sullivan may have lost the Northern Ireland Open final to Judd Trump, but he has a new string to his bow – dragging out dead frames. The Rocket’s behaviour may have irked viewers and his opponent, but it is a tactic he intends to use “for the rest of my career” after stumbling upon it in Milton Keynes. :

NORTHERN IRELAND OPEN SNOOKER 2020: 'SURELY NOT!’ – WHY DID RONNIE O’SULLIVAN MAKE BIG MISTAKE?

Ronnie O’Sullivan made what was considered a baffling mistake during the Northern Ireland Open final with Judd Trump on Sunday. O’Sullivan elected to put Trump back in after the Bristolian had fouled on the black when trying to play a swerve shot. Neal Foulds said in commentary that he couldn’t understand the decision while Alan McManus thought The Rocket may have misread the situation. :
