I appreciate all of the sentiments regarding my my absence, I really do.
Does it deserve its own thread? Maybe, maybe not. I'm not this important in my own house.
Myself, Danny, and John would be participating in this forum more if our participation helped us much more than it hurt us. I have never gone out of my way to hurt anybody in this forum. There are those people that seem get a hard on by poking jabs at instructors, or people that defend the people they are attacking.
People like that should not be allowed to post on this forum.
The moderators and administrators of this forum disagree with me about that (in the case of this one individual). I believe I exhausted all "appropriate and dignified" responses to the harassment, so I stopped posting.
I stopped posting as an exercise in self control, not to run away from anything or to display a "thin skin". I have no time for stupidity, and that is what I considered the harassment.
In my absence, the harassment has continued, the new target seems to be Scott Lee (for whatever reason). Hopefully something can be done about this. This is Mike's site and he can run it any way he wants and I have respected that since as far back as 1999.
This is just a disagreement, no hard feelings between myself and Mike, or myself and Mr. Wilson. I have communicated with both of them about how I feel about that and its ok. I wish nothing but success for Mike and this website.

I consider both John and Danny to be my friends. They won't always agree with each other, but that is a testament to how competitive they both are in pool and in life. For those that do not appreciate that fire that exists in their guts... too bad for you.
I feel that both of then took more than a few shots on the chin before they said to hell with it and logged out of here.
As a player, I am not on the same level as Danny and John. I have never claimed to be. The only boasting I have done on this forum was done in jest with bfdlad (Mark) to generate interest in a challenge match between John Schmidt and Quinten Hann. It was completely staged, and done "tongue in cheek" by both of us - and yes - at one point I communicated with both Quinten and John about what Mark and I were doing. It was a lot of fun. (I think Mark had more fun with it than I did - the rivalry between John and Quinten was 100% REAL).
As an instructor, I am not on the same level as Randyg or Scott Lee. I tilt more towards the mental aspect of the game - where they are professors of the fundamentals. I respect both of them immensely and consider them to be two of the best ambassadors for the game of pool.
I don't know everything about pool. I don't know everything about straight pool. Every once in a while I can string a few racks of 9 ball together, every so often I can put up some good numbers in 14.1 - it doesn't happen every day. I don't expect it to happen every day.
I love to pass my knowledge along to those that are willing to listen. I love the game of pool.
For those that want to negatively comment on my playing ability, you are entitled to your opinion. However, when your opinion starts effecting my ability to post here without being attacked or put down at every opportunity, then your right to having your opinion comes head to head with my right to have an opinion that you are an asshole.
You're entitled to your opinion, I am entitled to mine.
I appreciate all of the support, posts, and e-mails that I have received from everybody. I will pop in here from time to time - I am aways available at my website, myspace, and facebook.
