Scott Frost $10,000 One Pocket Challenge!

I don't see where Stix is Efrens home court. I go there often and haven't seen Efren there for at least 2 years. When he does come in it's for a day or two when he's passing through the area. Didn't the offer say anywhere.
Stix is a nice place with both a Diamond and GC. I'm sure Efren will give Scott plenty of time to get used to the table.

I am saying LA itself is, I would think he plays in LA more then anywhere else when he is in the states on his downtime. Either way I am sure Scott will not be swayed in his decision as it is his choice and I understand his decision in his change of mind when it comes to playing Efren anywhere. Sorry if the best one pocket player ever playing Scott in his home room is going to not make this happen. I know Scott has a great respect for Efren and him playing at Kolby's is not stealing whatsoever and regardless of this I am sure Efren is still the favorite. This time it is a race to 21 and not to 8 with $20,000 in the middle, not $5,000 like last time which was a challenge match exhibition.

It is not internet BS whatsoever, the money is in place for the match I can assure you of that. Scott said he would play anyone in the world and that goes for even Efren but you and I know just as well that LA is Efren's home in the US. We are talking about a guy who was getting 9-7 a year and a half ago playing a race to 21 with the best one pocket player we have seen on this earth even up. I do not think Scott having Efren playing in his home room is out of line at all. I am sure Scott would give Efren plenty of time to get used to the table unlike the last time when Efren batted balls around for around an hour and not being tip top beforehand.

The house table is now a Diamond and not a Gold Crown like last time and we all know Diamonds are a very consistent playing table unlike Gold Crowns which can play different from table to table. I do appreciate your help trying to get something going on and if you want to step outside of the loop it is up to you, one way or the other I am hoping it happens for the fans. I do not blame Scott at all for not wanting to play Efren in LA nor would I blame Efren for not playing Scott here in Phoenix, but ultimately it is up to them and the people with the money.

More BS Lenny. The only reason I replied was because you said Scott would play on NEUTRAL TURF, not just HIS home court. Efren DOES NOT live in L.A. and it is not nearly his second home. He stays in different places when he comes through here and is rarely here longer than a few days. I happen to be one of the guys with the money and I'm not going to Phoenix for this match. Good luck with you nest game.

Well at least there is one person on the planet that would play Efren one pocket even for 10,000. That should not be over looked.

That is the whole point and regardless whether Jay stakes him or not I am sure he will step up as always and play. To Efren it should not matter much if he has no home field advantage anywhere in the US as said so Kolby's should just be another poolroom. I just want to see the greatest one pocket match ever in recent times go off, when was the last time something like this happened?

Jay, I apologize if you are all riled up about a game. Scott said anyone on neutral turf so I put it out there, when it came down to Efren he said he would prefer it at Kolby's and frankly his home room could use a match like that right now as would any room love to host it. This is not a nest game challenge as anyone besides Efren can be played on neutral territory. I think any room can be made to be Efren's territory since he is the greatest living player and fans love him.

When Scott was in Des Moines I believe Gary Lutman asked for 11-6 and Scott gladly would give it to him. Gary said, ”Scott, I need that much because you are best one pocket player in the country” before Gary finished Scott corrected him and said, ”Country? I’m the best in the WORLD!” then everyone laughed etc…point is this story sounds a lot like Gary was right the first time.

It would be different if his backers don’t want him to play Efren, we’d all understand that. It would be different if this was totally a nest bet, once again everyone would understand that. To single one player though??? I gotta lean towards Jay on this one and call BS. I figured Scott and Gus woulda hopped in the truck and smashed real quick with that offer out there, besides Efren is probably the only one that’s gonna take the game.

Go play Scott!!!

P.S. I got $200 on the old blind Flip Magician!

I believe he is going to single out Efren because he is not just one player, he is the best living player and possibly still the best one pocket player in the world but Scott will play him. I agree it might be unfair at Kolby's as Scott is very comfortable there but Efren will certainly be more comfortable in LA where his backers and friends in the states resides and playing in Alex's room. Perhaps something could be setup in Vegas but that ultimately would be up to Scott and Efren along with the money men. I will see what I can do on my end and hope to make a game happen soon, til then.......

Lenny you did nothing wrong. Scott was probably trying to save some face after getting humbled by SVB and put out a challenge praying quietly that Efren wouldn't take it. After demanding Home field advantage he is probably still praying he won't take it. I can't stand that kinda bs. Be a man of your word.

Nice "instacall" Jay

Possible neutral turf - Gary's Victor Billiards in Victorville, CA. This is possibly the best room between LA and Phoenix.

Why do people make claims then crawfish out of them when they are sought after????
I understand that maybe Scott isn't doing the actual typing, but if you go on record and say you will play anyone, anywhere, it kind of implys exactly as it states.

If Scott is saying this to be a bigshot, go play Efren where he is going to be for a couple days and not have a disclaimer for him, laddled with ridiculous excuses and bs. reasoning.

If not, no one wants to hear it.

Ya that was a good call Jay.

Do you think that if Scott flew to the Philippines Efren would give him anything?

How has your pool playing been affected Jay when you have flown to somewhere far away like the Philippines? I know when I flew to Thailand, it took me 2 days to get acclimated to everything.

It would seem that there might be several people willing to take Scott up on a challenge match as he has gotten roasted in the last two challenge matches he was in. Maybe it's the live stream that brings his play down. Just sayin'.

OnePocketEinstein???

Good call Ernie. Now we can start calling you OnepocketEinstein.

No, no, let's not do that! The winner of this match will undoubtably hold that title. My knowledge of One-Pocket could fit in a two page essay (with wide margins and double spacing).

I have a feeling Efren and Jay wouldn't mind this venue. What do you say, Lenny?

Have them play at Sacramento's Hard Time Billiards or San Francisco's Family Billiards! So I don't have to drive/fly too far!!!

It appears that everyone would love to have this match close to them which is understandable, never seen so many California guys in one thread. :grin-square: I will talk more with Scott on it and see what can be done, for the most part I am just the messenger here but really would like the match to happen and if I have to get barbecued by a few of you nuts to try to do it I am okay with that, I will just take a thank you when it happens. I know most players are focused on Galveston and rightfully so with all the money there, would be nice if it could happen there somehow. Efren ducks no one and Scott is not ducking Efren, just need to find a location that is good for both.
