Scott Frost $10,000 One Pocket Challenge!

I was the one that asked Sylver about matching up with Scott. He said that Scott stated, "You have 8-7 for life". But he continued by saying he'd play Scott even, not sure if he'd like it, but would definitely try it.

I was very impressed with Sylver on the commentary and appeared to have a few people barking at him, including liljon.

I am not sure he wants to try it even for 10K but I could be wrong, would be a good match to sweat either way if Efren does not play, another good opponent would be Corey.

This would have to happen after Galveston to make all the proper arrangements but if we can get Efren in the same room with Scott with the money posted its on!

They flew in from Manila last night, so today is not a good day for them. They leave on Thursday morning for Galveston. If Scott is there and willing to play even, it can be arranged.

I don't think i heard that portion of the broadcast but I did hear somone ask Sylver what kinda spot he'd get from Gabe and he made a comment that he wanted to play people even to get better (or something along those lines).

Like Lenny said probably doesn't want to play even for 10K though

I'd like to see Scott and Gabe play, heard they are friends so not likely to happen. Maybe they'll get offered one of those 5K matches in Galveston so we can sweat a short set of 1 pocket between two greats.

Efren should be in L.A. for nearly a week after Galveston. If Scott will come over here, they could get it on. Just got off the phone with Alex who is having dinner right now with Efren and Bustie. Alex owns a big room in the L.A. area called Stix. He says Efren will be happy to play Scott after Galveston and $10,000 is fine. He has a real nice Diamond or a Gold Crown to play on. It's your move.

Scott Frost vs ?????

Please try to remember the Morra/Dominguez match is September 26-27 in LA. Let's try to not TWO great matches at the same time.

If Scott and Efren can work out the details, TAR will be in LA for the Morra/Dominguez and would probably welcome the opportunity of streaming a great one-pocket match.

I am sure Justin will be watching how this turns out. You can call him at 317-531-5035.

One Pocket Match

Even though Efren has been beat in 1 Pocket, I think most people still consider him the best in it.

Gabe and Scott are friends, and I remember a few years ago when Gabe stated he gave Scott the 7 in 9 ball, but I think since then, that Scott has got better in 9 ball, and I know Gabe has gotten a lot better in 1 pocket.

I do not think Danny or John would play Scott even for $10,000. Gabe might play Scott even for a $100 or 2, but no more since they are friends, and that would just be practice for them.

I am interested in knowing whether Scott is playing on HIS OWN money. It is easy to play on someone else's money, not so easy on your own.

A race to 21 would be very taxing on the players. A competitive 1 pocket game takes a lot out of you.

TAR will be in L.A. the weekend after Galveston for Oscar vs Morra. If Scott and Efren want to do something before or after with us we will pay the same as we always do. We can move to a different room as long as the internet is good enough.

If Lenny is planning on doing the streaming for this match I dont want to step on anyones toes. Just putting it out there.

Not a problem at all as with my new daughter traveling is nearly out of the picture at the moment and would love to have you guys cover it if it is outside Arizona.
Lenny <--- Loves TAR!

If this match takes place i have $100 on big E. First one to pm me with a yes is the one i'll bet with.

thanks

Mark we would not dream of it, to me it looks like we might have something in the works with Efren so we will see where it goes from there. I know Scott said California is not going to happen so we would like to have it at Kolby's on the new Diamond that is in there. Last time Efren and Scott played it was on a GC III with 4 1/8 inch pockets which Scott was very used to.

This is a Diamond which plays very consistent table to table so it should not be too much of a problem besides the home court advantage. I am sure Efren will play for the $10,000 regardless if it is at Kolby's and besides that the room needs an event like that. I am not going to deny that Efren is probably the only opponent Scott might have some fear of but who doesn't fear him?

Efren will only be in town for one week. So it would have to be sometime during the week prior to the weekend. I'll check to see how the feed is from Stix Bulliards. They are absolutely ready to play this match and 10K is no problem.

What happened to playing Efren on a "neutral" court? So now Scott doesn't want to come to Los Angeles to play him. BALONY! More internet BS. He says he will play anyone for $10,000 and I get on the horn and make a game for him and now this nonsense. I don't know why I wasted my time.

Now he only wants to play at Kolby's. We gave him the choice of a Diamond or a tight Gold Crown too. Please Lenny no more of these threads until you (and Scott) get your story straight. Check post #1 - "NEUTRAL TURF"

Reminds me of a story when a guy walked into a pool hall and announced he would play anybody in the place 9 ball for $500 a set. Luther Lassiter started to get out of his chair, the guy saw him and said "Not you Lassiter".

It is not internet BS whatsoever, the money is in place for the match I can assure you of that. Scott said he would play anyone in the world and that goes for even Efren but you and I know just as well that LA is Efren's home in the US. We are talking about a guy who was getting 9-7 a year and a half ago playing a race to 21 with the best one pocket player we have seen on this earth even up. I do not think Scott having Efren playing in his home room is out of line at all. I am sure Scott would give Efren plenty of time to get used to the table unlike the last time when Efren batted balls around for around an hour and not being tip top beforehand.

The house table is now a Diamond and not a Gold Crown like last time and we all know Diamonds are a very consistent playing table unlike Gold Crowns which can play different from table to table. I do appreciate your help trying to get something going on and if you want to step outside of the loop it is up to you, one way or the other I am hoping it happens for the fans. I do not blame Scott at all for not wanting to play Efren in LA nor would I blame Efren for not playing Scott here in Phoenix, but ultimately it is up to them and the people with the money.

Im sure Efren would like to get some revenge on Scott. This will be good. Hopefully and understanding can be met. I agree with Lenny on Kolby's getting the publicity. It would deffinately help Arizona pool out. I have been gone from AZ for about 3 years and when I came back everyone is playing one pocket. I think alot of it has to do with great matches such as Efren and Scott playing each other here. people in Az are soaking up all this one pocket knowledge!

I don't see where Stix is Efrens home court. I go there often and haven't seen Efren there for at least 2 years. When he does come in it's for a day or two when he's passing through the area. Didn't the offer say anywhere.
Stix is a nice place with both a Diamond and GC. I'm sure Efren will give Scott plenty of time to get used to the table.
