Scott Frost's opinion about Predator tables

Yeah I can’t imagine a car dealership not wanting to give the same trade value for a Corolla that they do the Porsche.

Obviously they don’t love the driving industry.
Where do you come up with your sarcastic shit from? Who said anything about taking trade-ins of lesser value? Diamond don't even take trade-ins. Predator only takes Diamonds for trade-in, because they can sell them, there's a market for the Diamonds, NOT the Predators.

Stapling the cloth to the rails isn't the problem. The problems start when the rails are made out of plywood, (Predator) or have an inch of subrail hanging out past the ends of the rails in which the cloth has to be tucked behind in order to bolt the pocket castings back in place. That design is a disaster to repair later on, and there's only a few of us in the field that would even know how to make the repairs, only to have the damage happen again, over and over.
It’s a secret repair. Only you and that guy with 4 fingers from Cambodia can solve the mystical cube.

😂 butthurt? I don’t care one bit about financing.

I get your lore. You’ve somehow, despite the lunacy, created a following rooted in your ego. That must persist even with rudimentary questions.

There’s absolutely a market for you to charge 1.2 million to set up a table so perfectly that only a fart can squeeze by your tolerances.

It’s art right? You’re art.

Or it’s just a table and some play differently than others.

Only a sphincter can tell.
Go back to the NPR section, that's where you shine the best. Your comments just make you look like a little kid, throwing a temper tantrum!!!

Why use staples at all?
Could use a scroll method. Crank cloth tightly and lock it.
A couple slits on the corner and can scroll north south and east/ west....
Food for thought
Pocket curves would be only section with staples.
This is already the case for some of us. The cloth gets glued to the slate now. Very few staples are required. ;)

Another dumb question!

How do you remove the cloth once glued?

Heat gun to melt the glue?

I have always seen staples.

Just wondering how much trouble is the glue method?

If Predator was all about the game, they'd be selling their tables everywhere, but instead, they're soliciting locations with Diamond 7fts, trading their Predator tables straight across for the Diamonds, then selling the Diamonds to get their money back! But if you own a room with 30 Valley tables, they're NOT interested in trading their shit for more shit, because they can't sell them for shit!!! So, WHY are they only following Diamond tables around? Can't sell their shit like everyone else has had to do?
HIGH lariious!!

Sold or back home I was thinkin'.

Doesn't have a feel of a Reno moment (stored GC's). Who's footing the parking lot/table/$torage?

Really? I'm pretty sure everyone knows what RKC's real name is, anyone messing with tables very much probably has his phone number, I know I do.

RKC is one of the few people knowledgeable enough to make a comment on the build quality and he gets a warning over this right at the point it seems he might speak on the question everyone is asking.

I guess there were older threads when predator just came out with the tables where he did say some of his concerns.

This rule is beyond dumb when it's dealing with a well known forum member. You know, one with his real name out there on a lot of stuff, a titan of the mechanic industry, one who readily gives out his personal phone number to help people out.

In the 3 decades I've been on various forums, I've never seen one besides AZB which puts so much stock in "real names." If you guys don't want us using screen names or alias names, then make us use real names and submit a government issued ID. Such a stupid rule for a fricking internet forum. Oh my... let me wring my hands... somebody on the internet is using a screen name! Oh the humanity!o_O

Agreed 106%...except I did not know there were other forums.

Glen's like a doctor who isn't particularly interested in what you think about his area of expertise.

That’s great if it works for them but I wouldn’t begrudge a company for passing on that risk. Halls, bars, restaurants are high risk lending as most small businesses don’t make it.

I get your loyalty etc but that type of financing isn’t a common thing.

Perhaps Diamond has selective financing or extremely tough criteria because I doubt I could show up tomorrow fresh off the boat and land a dozen or two dozen diamonds fully financed.

I bet it’s a significant down payment to offset the risk.
Brunswick started it in the early 60's. They'd even provide support on location and buildout.

both glen and lou have to respond to every post that even slightly disagrees with them in any way with a start of attack on them.
then it builds up from there, if the person is dumb enough to continue with them.

neither means no harm and both know a lot and can help and contribute both have that shortcoming they cant get over.

this post is to point out to them and those who fall into it that it isn't necessary to defend oneself from every thing.
as we all have the same goal here and are on the same side.

Allc t
Diamond isn't a bank either, yet they fund pool tables all the time, at virtually zero risk, I should know, I talked them into doing it.
They get you on a 5 year payment....where you don't own it until it's paid off.

Default....and they come get their tables.

It works out fine.

Yes you can. You pay intrest so they make more. Plus they will report them and resell them for a significant amount, over 80%of new.

Diamonds don't significantly depreciate. The cost of these tables has doubled in the past 5 years.
