THE GUY WITH THAT USER ID IS NELSON REGALDO. I CAN'T REMEMBER HIS OTHER USER ID BUT HE HAS AT LEAST 2. I MET HIM IN PERSON IN VALLEY FORGE INVOLVING A TRANSACTION WITH THIS USER ID.

His other id nregalado and maybe a nuber after his name .........
Some moron will spend the money thus driving the prices higher for these fine billiard cues........:D

I have a Searing fancy sneaky pete with two 13mm shafts (one with ivory ferrule). Half joint (composite) with SW style dashed rings at the collars. No wrap, rosewood butt. What should it be worth in today's market?

I dont know what it would be worth but if i hit the lottery please expect a sizable offer from me...;)

I bought a case from him last year.He was really easy to deal with. He is in the business.Maybe the owner knows this and asked him to sell the cues for them.It dosn;t matter as long as you get what you bid on.If you think its too much then dont bid but dont knock someones pricing.I think saying a seller is asking too much is just downright wrong. No one is asking if its too expensive. It might be worth the price to someone who does not want to wait 3+years for a Searing.

Lots of people here agree that it's way overpriced, but it's one of those things like a classic car or something where it's worth just as much as whoever wants it the most happens to be willing to pay for it. I also agree that it's pretty steep for that design and joint, but if I had the cash to spare, that price is a sum of just how bad I really wish I could get my hands on a Searing.
(but it's still not worth selling my flame top Musicman EVH for!)

To all the nay sayers & tire kickers

The cue sold for less than 3K...spoke to NR this afternoon. When something obscure comes along like a 1957 Chevy 210 Post, you shoot sparks off your wallet cause you cant get the $$$ out fast enough. Searing cues are kinda like a 210 post, demend is high but supply isnt.

Nelson and I just did a cue deal that was much more expensive than the Searing listed on Ebay. Nelson was the buyer, didnt play any games, and the deal went down without a single problem. Just my 2 cents on my experience with Nelson.

56k beware

Just playin alpine. I'm actually glad you didn't GO FOR IT as my plan was to make 1 bid and 1 bid only. If someone outbid or sniped me then I was out. Was actually surprised that it only got 5 bids, and after 10 minutes...more like 2 minutes of playing with it i understand why these cues get so much hype.

Now I remember the cue.
I was not ready to bid on the cue and I am really glad it went to someone on the AZB forum.
I just completed a deal on a Tascarella (my avatar) and just now finished paying for a John Showman.
But should a time come that you want to pass it on, I will be glad to work with you.

ebay's auction process is set by ebay not the sellers or bidders.
bidders can retract bids up until 12 hours before an auction ends by selecting one of 3 options: entered wrong amount, seller changed the description of the item, cannot contact seller. whether true or not your bid will still be retracted.
as long as sellers can pull and auction for whatever excuse i will be retracting bids. it's the process that is at fault not the buyers and bidders. as long as there is a way to go around the rules people will take them. the only time i retract bids is after contacting the seller and not being able to come up with an off ebay agreement.
this might not seem fair but the very first auction i participated in i won a beautiful paul mottey cue only to be told it had been sold locally prior to the end of the auction.(the very same mottey also reappeared for auction again about a month later). i've had no respect for the way online auctioning is done since that time. as a consequence i very rarely win an auction but it's usually because the auction was ended early and the deal made off ebay.
in the case of this searing i was able to purchase it off ebay at a considerable discount to the starting bid and the auction was ended.
this is practiced all the time on ebay auctions and will continue to be until ebay plugs the loopholes that they know exist.
sure it's against their written policy, but they know it happens and do nothing towards stopping it from happening. they would rather have quantity as opposed to quality.

i think you way over simplify
and their were no laws broken

one of the retract options is no contact with seller and specifies no time frame at all. you could send them an email wait a minute and retract within their policy.

what i am saying is they need better policy and a better process!

Hey thats great you got another nice cue , but exactly rules are made to be broken and you and the seller are cotributing to it...... I dont even bid there anymore because of the bullshit deals going down and beleive me ive bid on plenty of stuff and been notified the seller ended item early to take a half ass offer from some asshole who doesnt like to bid........I dont know you and im not trying to get you mad or ayhing but if you feel compelled to post on what i speak of you must feel guilty ?????????????? I have been notified by sellers directly and ive not bought from them and ive also been notified by e-bay "NOT TO DEAL DIRECTLY WITH SELLER" SO I FOLLOW THE RULES LIKE A NORMAL PERSON SHOULD......As far as im cocerned youre admitting not being honest, am i not correct?????I dont know maybe im wrong for following the rules and youre probably right for not following the rules!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
At any rate even if you cant sleep at night over this please try to have a fantastic holiday (im really not trying at all to get you mad im just trying to understand why people break the rules of engagement)Merry ,Merry Christmas to you and yours..................:D

i was honest in my post and stated what i feel and guilt wasnt listed. i could pretend like these things dont happen, but choose not too.

"NOT TO DEAL DIRECTLY WITH SELLER"

yes, that is one of their policies but they sure don't try very hard to enforce it or keep it from happening

As far as im cocerned youre admitting not being honest, am i not correct?????

how you feel is for you to decide not me. i was very clear in what i did.

I dont know maybe im wrong for following the rules and youre probably right for not following the rules!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i bet you drive within the posted speed limit as well
