Steve,
Will you have something like what's below surrounding the cues, or will we get a close-up look?

Over time in this forum I have seen some great cues. Many of them are in this great collection, table after table in previous posts. It would be worth the trip to Chicago simply to see these special cues! I would be like a drunk in a liquor store!
Congratulations.
Beautiful Cues Steve. Korean BBQ is some good eats, I believe the word Kalbi comes to mind for the mouth watering beef.
yeah thats the name of the spot, Chicago Kalbi I believe, When Kelly gets home I'll get the biz card from her. and 100% I'll come to the cue show if we can plan a dinner there, Its great for a long social talk about cues kind of dinner. they use real wood coals not gas broilers to cook the beef on, actually we get to cook it. Yay!!!
I'll shcedual a trip and come, I might bring a big cue or two. Bring out something very very special that hasnt been showed before.

Ok I got the spot,
chicago-kalbi.com
its closed on tuesday nights. Kelly and I ate ther 4 nights in a row in June, its that strong. closes at 12 am, however one night we were chatting with the owners until 1:30 am, So it will be great.
I am making a reservation for my hotel this week and flight too, i'm there 100%. My uncle is in the hospital, he had a attack of some sort and is in ICU now, i just got back from Germany a few hours ago, and I have to go see him, its a 6 hour drive. he will be ok, I only mention this cause i might not be online the next few days. I will 100% be at the cue show and dinner(probably 2 nights there). Even if my uncle passes he is 88, i will be there.
I'm very much looking forward to meeting up and seeing everyone possible. between now and then I will talk to a few guys and maybe work out bringing a couple special cues to share with people. It is a shame they are in a film storage vault in Hollywood where nobody can see them. I think 2 cues is what i'll bring 3 at the most.
I will organize a early dinner for Friday if everyone would like. After dinner we can meet at the pool hall like we did last year Friday night. Eric let me know if you are in and I will call the restaurant and see how many it will hold. Then I will start a list on Az.
Thanks,
Troy
It will hold 20 easy, the cooking tables hold 6-7 people each, there is lots of room, and will work good for all of us, its the right sort of spot to have food and mingle around during dinner. Its not a sitdown 5 course joint, but not a buffett either. kinda in the middle, that's another reason I picked this spot.
I'm going out there before the "Dinner" which we need to name, so it can be a annual event. We can move the dinner to a different spot each year if we like or same spot, that can be a group decision, if the dinner has a name it becomes a event within a event. And thats the kind of thing that will make the Chicago Cue show the best one of the bunch in a couple more years.
I'll call them in hte next couple days, the lady knows me and my friend who turned me on to the spot real good so we got juice. I'll make it happen. and they will stay late for us, it closes at 12am, if we want to stay later i'm sure they will. Should I do that.
thinking about it, while I type this, give me the rundown here and i'll call and make it happen. how bout that???
thanks

Is everyone going up to Pyramid to shoot some after dinner? Friday night was great last year everyone hanging out playing pool and just kickin back. The night before a show is a terrific time to meet folks!
