This is just sad. SMH. Doesn't anyone work for what they need anymore.. It's like every time someone needs something for themselves they create a go fund me page or come on here asking for hand outs. It's not just mike, but it is rediculous. Well mike if you wanna earn your trip. Come work for me for 2 weeks at my shop Monday -Friday 9am to 5pm. I will pay your entry fee for all three events, hotel, and transportation. I'm not into just giving hand outs though. I believe in working for what you have. Pm me if your interested.
He is trying to make pool his job...that's his job...much respect for trying....he is coming here to let people know he wants sponsors that is not asking for handouts...i know I want to manage restaurants and play pool at a high level but I pay for my own way because I have nothing to offer sponsors POOL IS NOT MY JOB....i live comfortably and play the events I want but if I tried to play pool for a living why not look for sponsors and ways to make a living and make money.

Hahaha. This offer is just for mike Wong. I am just interested unseeing if he is actually willing to work for what he wants or if he is more interested in just asking for handouts every time a big pool event comes around that he doesn't wanna invest his own money on his ability. No disrespect to mike. But this is getting old and it seems like this is becoming his way of paying for things he wants but don't wanna pay for.

Hi Phillyviper1, I am going to mention that you previously barked and harassed me to play on the Forum. But, you refused to come to NYC to play, and refused to play both times I was in Philly. You also did the same with Jennifer Baretta and Danny Harriman. I’m sorry, but judging by your character I am going to assume you are not sincere, but instead just trying to knock me. By the way I also have other responsibilities, I have an elderly parent that needs my attention, so I dislike having to leave New York for an extended period of time, without someone in my place.

I roasted you down here for $600 in Raleigh last summer and heard you wanted to play again multiple times (here in NC and saying you'd give me weight at the Expo [for up to $3k you said!]) and when I contacted you about it, you dodged...I even offered weight to you and to drive back down to NC before I moved here to play you. So...don't go calling Viper out if you're not ready to hear it back, brother.
Take whomever staked you to travel up and down the coast last summer, along with RJ/Magic Chalk, and get your sponsorship. I agree with everyone else that you should work for what you've got and not ask for handouts. I can appreciate what you're doing and trying to do it for a living, but we all know that is not possible to do with your life unless you're top 5. It's unfortunate, sure, but that's how it is. Find a good job and get some income, then support your hobby.

Well Corey, if you think you like the game so much, please come to New York and you can get played. I won't have a problem getting staked to play you. We can bet more than $600. I don't remember recall mentioning the expo, but yes, I might consider giving you weight, even though you won that one set. Yes, I wanted to play again, but did not have the funds to at that time, but if you come to NYC I play you for sure. I don't have a traveling stakehorse, so if you would like to play you would have to come to me. Thank you.

Sounds like you have lots of money available to you. Why are you on here begging AZB for handouts like a bum? And that "is" what you are doing. You can try to disguise it as "sponsorship" but you are an amateur pool player with nowhere near the amount of skill to realistically claim you are trying to make a living playing pool.
This is a hobby for you just like it is a hobby to most of the people here. The difference between you and most of the people here is that most AZB members have a little too much pride than to come on here and ask the forum to fund their flight to Vegas and pay for their hotel room at the Rio during the BCAPL playoffs.
You are being a bum Mike, hanging out on the AZB corner of the street asking people for spare change so you can buy a bus ticket. Get some pride FFS...
I do like the game. I would give YOU weight. However, I don't travel to play pool anymore, since I did what a reasonable person would do in life -- get more education and a better job. I don't need to play for my livelihood or supplement my job income or I'd love to take the offer up.
Good luck in finding a stakehorse. Like Celtic mentioned, if you have so much money waiting around, why not use that for the Derby...if you do end up there and we run into eachother, I'm sure we can match up with some shot-clock options added in.
Maybe apply some of that 'hard work' to your resume and finding a job that you can 'work hard' at.
