Then, send Shane over with an empty suitcase to bring the dough back in.

JCIN said:A friend called from Vegas and said this is supposed to off after the players meeting tonight.
Race to 13, 8ball on the bar box 2 sets ahead for respectable dough.
Shane will not lose two sets in a row on the box to any human right now.
Gotta go now. Will try to post via BlackBerry if I here anything.

Jesse plays a nice game. But Shane has become a monster. I predict 13-6 or 13-7 second set.
StrokeofLuck said:Jay, I would say your bold prediction about SVB soon becoming the best looks even more like a great call now. I've never had the pleasure of seeing him play live but I have seen Jess play and I thought he was the best barboxer I'd seen in a long time. Looking at this thread it appears handed him his a** and combine that with some of his recent tourney finishes and it looks like he's climbing the ladder to greatness.
As we've discussed in past PM's...I agree with your opinion of Jon. He had everything he needed to ascend to the highest levels but life got the better of him. I learned so much from him and I fondly remember those years. It's such a pity that he couldn't hold it together for a few more.jay helfert said:I thought Jon Kucharo would go far too, but he fell victim to one of life's great distractions, alcohol.

It kind of sickens me that he doesn't take it seriously anymore, and doesn't practice hardly if at all anymore. I think that has something to do with not being challenged by it or anyone near him anymore and he has grown bored. I would bet that if he moved to ... let's say the Springhill area that he would do very well in a rematch after a few months of being just in the middle of the top instead of being the very top.
Shane gets to play world champions everyday and gets his game pushed to its max, Jessie lives in a corn field and doesnt have many people around him that can push him.
iasaxman said:In a corn field...come and see what we've got here in the Quad. Cities!!! Jamie Bowman can hang too. How about Jamie Baraks, Chad Villmont (sp?), Josh Johnson, and many others. There's no shortage of very good players here. Most tend to stay under the radar instead of in the spotlight. Jesse doesn't have that many people to push him to that caliber, but that doesnt' mean he couldn't still be at the top. He does take pool seriously, he just doesn't put in the 8 hour days to practice...his is IMO the epitome of natural talent. He can manufacture a run-out from anywhere.
Kudos to Shane...it takes a world-class player to beat another world-class player. At least these two had the stones to get up and play some instead of woofing for months on here about matches and then not playing them when they can't get any "stealing" action.
Stop talkin' and start chalkin'!!!
I am excited to see if jesse fires up now! ive known him for about 5 years and he is a player!PROG8R said:That is pretty much in in a nutshell. GOD, I hope it lights Jessie up and he leaves more and travles more and gets into it more. I think his current line of thought is similar to that of a young Stevie Moore. I hope he will finally get out and we can all watch his game blossom to where it should be. The kid has a gift that is being wasted. At least for now Shane has taken full advantage of what he was blessed with. Way to go boy!!
