Shanelle Loraine vs. Borana Andoni "Battle of the Billiard Beauties" @Sandcastle ,NJ

I don't think a comparison with Jasmine, playing-ability-wise, is fair to these two. Jasmine's a pro, on the pro circuit. Looks, however, are subjective and very much a personal preference.

-Sean <-- prefers brunettes / raven-haired beauties

I'm a little partial to Jazzy, been my favorite female player since I first saw her play. That girl is a killer!

This was the only video I could find of Shanelle playing in a match.

Id like to thank Charlie Williams and Dragon promotions for all they do for women and womens pool.
The majority of pool players have no idea how hard it is to have to play pool in 6" heels.

i couldn't imagine trying to break a 10 ball rack in heels....
....time to buy a pair of walking braces, cause you're gonna need them:grin-square:

Don't be so haste. CW has been training and making World Champions out of nobody, like YuRam Cha, Allison Fisher& Erika Park.

I say he's got the eye and ability to mold champions from dust and since he's been working on Shanelle for so long, there must be something special in her he sees ;)

S.G.

.....or he'd like to see something SPECIAL in her....;);)

Ugh.....

Something about this does not seem right.:sorry: It takes Woman's pool in the wrong direction as far as being taken seriously as pool players!
(Just my opinion).

Women's pool sucks so bad it can't really get worse.

I say good for these girls make the money if someone wants to give it to you.
I would just like to see a match that has a chance to be close, and this one isn't it.

This isn't about a close match, a good match or any kind of match at all. The bottom line is....you know who will be making the most money from this.

You got to be kidding. Is this the best you got?
Thanks for reminding me why I stopped visiting this forum.
The most difficult game invented by humans and it keeps lowering itself to these circus propositions. No thanks!

close, but no cigar

and good alignment too . . .

It actually says "Beat every living creature on earth. St. Peter rack 'em up"
Oops! I forgot to hit the quote button again. I know SJD is going to scold me.

I don't know how these ladies play but, come on fellows. They're trying, like the rest of us. I say we get behind them.
Oh man! Come on. Get your mind out of the gutter.

Keep it nice. Alfie

I say this match is good for pool.
Of course dedicated pool players (& dedicated fans) will know these are not top players, but these groups already play pool.

A few young "potential" pool players who didnt think pool was "hip", or didnt that "cool" people play pool, might change their mind.

At the very least, I dont imagine anyone will quit the game because of this match, but I could be wrong :D

The reason The Hustler brought about a resurgence of pool was that it had depth. It had quality people involved. Robert Rossen a fine writer and director and great actors not only like Newman and Gleason but the fine character actors as well like Mike Constantine, Murray Hamiltonm, George C Scott, Piper laurie, etc.

Look at all the junk pool movies that followed.
Did nothing for the game.
It is quality and honesty that people respond to.
Not this surface crap.

They are both attractive there is no doubt about that. I do think Borana has the potential to become a good player, she has talent in the game and is in a good place to keep improving. I do not know Shanelle, never saw her play but heard she is a C player at best. No big deal either way, she makes money in the sport so it counts for something, not an easy thing to do. If I was going to put money behind a female player personally, it would be based on talent and skill, someone like Karen Corr.

I dunno...when I was 15, I thought some women in their 20's just looked incredibly hot.

Now that I'm 68? My opinion hasn't changed.

Yeah, yeah, looks hot in a bikini, blah blah. If she played in APA, i doubt she could hold a 6.
