He has also ripped people off on KentuckyHunting.net, as well as other sites, and has been banned from all but this one as far as I can tell. He did not come back to these sites with a new alias as far as I can tell.
I still have not yet figured out how some people get banned here for being a little irritating to some people, or having a difference of opinion with a moderator, and other very marginal offenses, yet a known thief with a long history of theft on many different sites is welcomed with open arms by the moderators at AzBilliards. There is nobody more deserving of a ban!

want to know what people think
After reading all the threads about what a rippoff artist this guy is I want to know what people thank and if enough vote are to bann him then maybe addmin will. This is a great site for billiards, but there is a small number of people that tarnish this site and if we can get rid of them the site will be better for it.

ChrisC is a thief!
This guy is still scamming people on this site. I know you do not want to chance a new alias, but he is getting away with finding new victims to steal from with the same name as always, so something new has to be tried. He has proven he will continue to steal over and over with this screen name. It has not been proven that he would scam with a new screen name. To not ban him at this point gives the appearance that AzBilliards does not have an interest in protecting their members.
If AzBilliards refuses to ban this member, at the absolute minimum a sticky should have been placed on both the main, and for sale forums with his screen name and "beware" in the thread title.
If I understand correctly, the reasoning is that he could come back with a new alias. I do not feel this is a good reason for several reasons. First, he has been banned from several sites and as far as anybody knows did not come back under a new name. More than likely he would have been found out if he had.jhendri2 said:

I agree with the mods about not banning him, make him stay around and try to sell without getting anything. If we slam him in every thread he starts with stuff to sell he'll never get anything sold.

An old man told me a long time ago, to watch this guy he has many toungs. Smooth talker, he keeps you guys coming back for moore. He is like a wolf in sheeeeeeeeep skin. He seems to know all the angles, lie's and tricks. Keep dealing with him ,this kind of stuff keep him going.

Well, I believe that just not dealing with him is the best solution. Hey, he is risky according to many of you, who of the many posters have first hand knowledge of dealing with him??? Anybody??? Is banning the perfect solution???? How about the novel idea of NOT DEALING with him, EVER!!!!
The moderators do a good job of running this site, and I am sure they have their reasons why they do the things they do. And when I do not agree with them and their actions, then I will hop across the worldwide web to the "other" billiards sites.
Last time I checked, AZB was not a democracy or a pay site. Opinions are valued, but at the end of the day, it is the owner/moderators who run the site, and make decisions on what happens here. Can we change their minds? Sure, why not give it a chance - it is your right, but how about we make the Wanted/For Sale section contain posts that actually list items for sale.
It seems that every 2 weeks we have posts about Deals gone bad, how about people start using the escrow services and other precautions that are out there and available to all? Too cheap to spend the $50? Well, then you get what you pay for. I believe I am not the only one sick of the whining around here, when all of these "DEALS" could have been prevented by escrow. Show me one that couldn't have been prevented when using escrow, and I will re-evaluate my position.
Anybody got one of those examples, where escrow couldn't stop/prevent the situation??

Either ChrisC is the unluckiest person on earth ( see post about phantom cue Gremlins stealing cues off his porch) or he is the person everyone would like see hanging by his scrotum on the barbed wire fence he is trying to jump over to avoid getting impaled by all the AZer's he's ripped off. Most of us who have been around long enough are smart enough to avoid dealing with him but as a family, we need to protect our own who don't realize what or who they are up against. So as I've said before, ChrisC needs to be permanently kicked to his 'very busy' HERSHEY HIGHWAY. BUMP IT UP PEOPLE!!!

Think about it, this guy is not going to sell or buy anything at this point so if he has the knowledge to sign up with a different name/IP, (which I "highly" doubt) he will do it and no one will think it's him because he is STILL here and not banned.
Get rid of him so these posts about him can stop and we can go about buying and selling without the likes of him.........

What about the new members who could not have heard yet? What about just having a brain fart and forgetting this was the scammer when you see something he is selling that you like? What about in a month or two when many people forget the screen name of the thief? What about the people that do not want to do a $50 escrow on a $100 item? To only think of ourselves, because we know who he is, is selfish and short sighted.
Yes, he will not get you or me. But he has proven that he is still able to find victims on AzBilliards. It has also been shown that his scamming appeared to stop on other sites when he was banned. It seems pretty logical to take the risk of banning him verses letting him continue to scam here (which he has proven he can will continue to do), doesn't it??
To not ban him at this point just shows a disregard for the welfare of the site membership, IMHO. If the moderators absolutely refuse to ban him for some reason, they must at the very least place sticky's on the "main" and "for sale" forums that clearly list his name and some type of warning in the thread title such as "Beware of ChrisC" or something similar. AzBilliards moderators, and all of us as community members, have a duty to protect our members from blatant thieves, IMHO.
