Plenty of love for your room Chris, it looks great, wanna come over and transform my "turkish prison"? You are doing a good job on yours, wish mine was more like that.

Love that GC1 Light! Great work!! Also, LED panel will be my first choice if I do not get a light from Santa :)

Its actually a 101" 8 footer JoeyA and I love the bar box as well!

Here is a picture I took at lunch, got the cue rack assembled and tried out the Pro Cup TV balls that came late yesterday.

Few racks of 9 ball and 10 ball and then back to the office. The joys of living down the street from work :)

Cannot wait to see some other peoples "caves"

In case anyone is curious, the pocket my cue is pointing too, it measures in about 3 and 7/8ths. lol

I think it should be a prerequisite that if you are going to post a picture of your home pool room that you also post your address so we can come see these beautiful rooms in person and try them out too!!
My door is always open and my table is always ready in case anyone is ever in the area. I would probably get "owned" on my own table but I can rack good so all is not lost.

Feel free to give your local 'santa' my contact info. I will hook you up with an LED panel.

Moved into our new home two months ago and started finishing basement last week. Dimensions are roughly 26x20.

Beginning day:

Nothing fancy, just a Gold Crown in a garage.

Home Room Progress

I started out with replacing some old, water damaged carpet and pad in a below-grade room with some laminate flooring that had a handscraped-hickory look. Much nicer than the last stuff I had put down about 15 years back in a previous residence. This laminate came with some pre-attached pad and I removed the pad and substituted some linoleum tile of the same thickness at the four places that would support the table legs. I had read, here on the forum, that this would help to prevent a dishing effect from the pad compressing under the weight of the table. This isn't to say the table would not compress the pad and remain level, it would just avoide the appearance of the flooring possibly drooping in the area. It was quite easy to remove a section of pad that covered three of the laminate planks...the trick was getting everything lined up as per the linoleum tile placement in the desired table leg positions and aligning that with the future location of the table light.

Hey guys a little off topic and yalls rooms look great but where did the GC's from Running Out Billiards go? I remember someone saying they went to a room in PA. For strictly nostalgic reasons I'd like to purchase one.

With the flooring 95% installed, I moved on to the Gold Crown light before my son shipped out to Fort Benning...had been back and forth on whether to set up the table first or mount the light to the ceiling. His impending departure helped me make my decision and we mounted it using some suggestions found on the forum. Put a 1x4 maple hardwood strip down the center of the light, mounted some plumbing flanges to that maple strip, then attached it to the ceiling using ceiling fan mounting parts. The downrods screwed right into the flanges. The tricky part was, again, trying to align to the leg spots on the floor, center on the fireplace, and make use of joists in the ceiling. In the end, I probably shifted about 4 inches off my original target to make use of the ceiling joists. Still close enough to be mostly centered on the fireplace, still within my 12 inch linoleum tile reinforcement squares. I put some of the furniture into the room for a quick photo. Wish I would have used a better camera than my cellphone...but it is giving me some idea of how my envisioned plan is coming together. I may have acquired too much furniture over the past several months! Will have to get the rest of it in there to check it out, but really won't know until I get the table set up. I don't want the room to be overcluttered in appearance and definitely want to keep playing space around the table.

Lookn sharpe, and perhaps a tad cramped for a nine fter

I have just under 16' across the width of the room, so will probably not have any furniture chairs long the sides of the table...originally planned just to have chairs on the one end of the 25' room length. Eventually decided to put the table in the center of that room, so I'm now looking at some chairs and such on each end of the room and the wife requested I move my kegerator out of the kitchen, which was not that big of an issue...then came the request to relocate 2 couches and a large chair...trying one couch and the large chair, but not sure if those are going to remain. I have four of the leather billiards chairs and four cloth, plus the cloth double seater...so I'm sure I will down select at some point. Scored a nice craigslist detail on a set of 3 Brunswick leather chairs and those will bump some of the cloth ones. Should have grabbed the small, tall table when I saw it...but I'll find another...

Room is going to be really nice when you are done. I just picked up a single Brunswick chair from Ebay, wish they were selling at least a pair but it is a really nice chair. I will probably end up building 2 more just like it since Brunswick retails them at $900 each. We also found 4 more cloth spectator chairs and a table 2 days later on Craigslist that I couldn't pass up so we got those too but will end up selling some in the future. The Brunswick chairs are much nicer plus it matches my table, light, and double sided floor standing cue rack.
