yes, perhaps. And I should also refresh my understanding of how X-1 works. Quick Clean basically charges the dust particles positive, and microfiber used with it is negative (or vice versa, I forgot), so you don't rub or brush the cloth with microfiber, just collect chalk and dust.
And what's the reason, cloth doing damage to X-1 or X-1 could damage the nap or teflon? From the brands mentioned in cloth selection thread (Table Mechanics section) is there any type X-1 shouldn't be used on? I'm asking because it's hard for me to understand properly which cloth is worsted. So, 3030, Titan, Gorina, Milliken Pro?
The X1 could catch on the nap (napped cloth) and cause some damage. All Championship styles (other then 3030) such as Titan are napped. Consider the X1 was designed by Simonis for Simonis cloth. While it should work properly on other brands of worsted cloth those results are TBD.
