This is the first time I've seen the dude play and I'm amazed. He gets up and starts walking to his next shot on his backswing! By the time he's actually hit the CB, he's chalked & down on the next shot.

I say all this in jest, of course. He's one helluva player.

Scotty's a lifer. All he has ever done is play pool. Gone everywhere, played everyone could be his byline. He's a rare bird, that Townsend cat.
 
Scotty is in punch. He is looking good going into the final day, I hope he goes deep.

Many of you may not know this, but Scott Townsend and Andy Gilbert are first cousins, and they grew up together down south.

Yeah about the cousins. Last month when Scotty was here I had mentioned I though I saw one of his old cues on ebay...and thats when he mentioned Andy was his cousin and that Andy made one cue for Scotty then made one with a little variation for someone else...the one on ebay was the someone else....anyway...how sweet would it be to not only play as strong as Scotty but have one of the best cuemakers in the country as your cousin!

I'm with you. This field is a tough one for sure, and it is great to see him playing well. Scotty Townsend is a legend in his own right and one of Dixie's finest! Nothing would please me more than to see him in the winner's circle! :)

He's a little younger than Keith, about 47 years old.

As far as fashionable, he definitely has his own style! I think most remember Scotty wearing his custom-made alligator boots! :D

Keith and Scotty are close friends, and according to Keith, Scotty's best game is on the bar table. So this tournament format suits him just fine!

It appears that photo was taken for IPT. I never saw him wearing a suit.By any chance do you have any photos of him sporting a cow boy hat,boots and Nickers.He looks like an Australian in his Nickers and boots. :cool:

Scotty does some unusual shots on the bar Box and no other player can duplicate some of those shots.I do not know how to use WEI table otherwise I could have shown one of his favorite shots.:cool:
