Someone stole Chip Comptons cues and case at the Olathe ,KS event.

This is the very reason why I'm sticking to sub-$200 cues until I have my own table. Way too many POS out there.

I have a strong feeling I know who stole all these missing cues along with Chip's. I mean isn't it obvious????

Here let me show you....

Derek Savioe or something like that. Got nailed stealing cues Back in June this year. Ill find the thread for you. Really long thread but at least 25 pages of pure entertainment. This douche bag gets one account banned and then signs up again as his Uncle calming his innocents

Ill PM it over to you ;)

When I was out in Vegas at the BCA tournament, I was practicing with another person on a table. He asked if I would watch his cues while he went to the bathroom.

I told him that I would prefer that he placed them under the table and I would watch them there. Too many times your back is to the cues if you have them leaning against the spectators tables. All it takes is one second for someone to walk by and snag them with your back turned.

He said " I wondered why you had yours under there".

Please contact Mike Durbin if you see or know where this cue is.

That is brutal.

Every once in a while I will have a reoccurring nightmare about someone stealing my cue at a tournament. I wake up with my heart pounding and a sick feeling in my stomach and am grateful it was only a dream.

The way I was brought up, you always take your cue to the bathroom with you and never leave it laying around while you're at the bar chatting up the cocktail waitresses. Not saying that was the case in this situation, but I have seen guys be very cavalier with their equipment, often leaving it unsupervised for extended periods.

In any case, I hope he gets his cues back soon. I'll keep an eye out in St. Louis.

What's this a saint !

I have contacted all the local dealers about this cue..... If you wish you can contact me at 816-808-1001 and I will assure you that Chip gets his cue back as well. No questions asked. Just call me and I will meet you to pick up these 2 cues anywhere in Kansas City!

Hey Don, what about what you did, or should I say what your trying to do. You just brushed it off like it was nothing. You have been trying to stay under the radar, ignoring text messages ,and changing your number. What's up with that. Do I need to open a whole can of worms for you? I tried to text that number you have up here , you refuse to answer. I'll leave it at that.

It's crappy that people do this kind of thing. It might be an idea to pop one of these in your cue case - http://www.thetileapp.com/ . it may improve the chances of locating your cues (providing they get stolen with the case!), and catching the thief.

Hope this helps :-)

This is neat and pretty cheap, but it only works in range of a phone and the phone needs to have an app running. Would help with it though if someone tried to sneak off with it and it goes out of range, although with some rooms, the music and other noise could keep the sound it makes un-noticed. If they could come up with a really cheap GPS device like that, that would be a killer device.

You can go to the golf course and leave $1000 - $2000 worth of clubs, your cell phone or whatever else in your cart or bag drop area with no hesitation about going inside the clubhouse to get something to eat, drink or use the bathroom. Last Sunday, I left my 7 Iron up on the range by accident and it was immediately turned in and returned to me.

But in a pool room, you better take your cues 30 feet with you to the bathroom or they will be walking out the door.

This is why pool rooms should follow the country club model and be "Members Only"

No where is safe. I had my car broken into parked about 50 ft between clubhouse and the first tee and 18 th green in west county. Theives are everywhere these days.

Not the only one

Daryll Smith had his car broke into in KC last week and got all of his cues. Sounds like a thief at work in the area.

Sounds like Kansas City area is a bad area. Only had one cue stolen in my life it was at the Park Plaza Hotel around 1987. When they used to hold national events before Las Vegas. At the time I was 14 and laughing at people taking their cues to the bathroom. Great lesson at a young age and never had one stolen since.

It's a sad day for pool when someone is proud he's only had 1 cue stolen in his life.
